Perfectly thin crust, cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of crispy on the edges and the flavor of the dough makes these pies sing. For my first trip in I enjoyed an extra cheese and mushroom. I’ll say it again, “cooked to perfection.” I can’t wait to come back and try something new. Staff is friendly, the atmosphere pulled me in and my goodness it was cooked fast. You have a patron for life.

Pizza tasted alright for a three topping except it was a little scarce on the toppings. The pizza was a still doughy on bottom but yes the crust was crisp on top. I had to correct my order and name a few times and then when I arrived they made a pizza with no name. I got home and noticed that I had more pizza sauce in areas Instead of the extra cheese I payed for. Restaurant looked very clean.

This place claims to be NY style pizza. I moved here from NYC. I picked up a large sausage and mushroom pie last night. Spent almost $30 with 2 sodas. To make a comparison between this place and NY. is worlds apart. Nothing like NY pizza in anyway. The crust was soft the cheese was dry. Hardly any mushrooms. Very disappointing. I could go to almost any pizza place in NY. and find better. This is 100% fact. I lived in NY for almost 50 years. Maybe it was a bad day to go here but that is my honest opinion from years living in NYC.

I don’t know how I missed this place for so long because it’s definitely by far the best pizza I’ve ever had anywhere in New Mexico and possibly anywhere outside of the New York City / New Jersey area. True, it’s in a terrible neighborhood, but when we went on a Sunday night there were no fewer than FOUR police cars parked right outside and a whole bunch of them eating dinner in the restaurant. It was just my son and I and we had no difficulty polishing off an 18″ large pie with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives. Perfection on a plate; the mushrooms were unusually flavorful and the pepperoni delightfully crispy on the edges. The crust was delicious and there was just the right amount of oil. Even the crushed ice in the coke was noteworthy. My only very slight complaint is that the Coke had a faint hint of Dr Pepper, which is definitely not a good thing. There was a fair amount of take out going on which is always a good sign. Decor is fascinating. Six stars warranted.

I heard about New York style pizza place and I wanted to try it.
Place is clean and old fashioned and walls are full of photo frames.
We tried 3 different slices to get a better idea. Slices were just fine, crust was crispy and not too salty not too fatty. To be honest I can’t call it “Real” New York style pizza in Albuquerque, you should try Rumors to see the difference. In general I liked this place and give them 4 ⭐️.

The best pizza in Albuquerque, served with heart and a beautiful legacy.
Giovanni’s has always been known for having the absolute best pizza in Albuquerque, but visiting now feels even more important. While the community is still heartbroken over the tragic loss of the owner, his spirit is undeniably alive within these walls.
To his wife and the incredible staff: thank you. Thank you for finding the strength to keep the ovens running and for allowing us to continue enjoying the magic he created. The pizza is as fantastic as ever—that perfect, crisp crust and the savory sauce that locals know and love are a testament to his passion.
Every slice served is a way to honor his memory. Whether you are a regular from back in the day or a new customer looking for the best slice in town, come in. Let’s keep this legacy alive, share a smile, and support this wonderful family.

I’ve been coming here for years! Giovanni’s always hits the spot for some great pizza. Friendly staff, the restaurant definitely teleports you and doesn’t feel like you’re in Albuquerque. Highly recommend to come and check out Giovanni’s.

Pizza here always comes out so perfect it looks like a movie prop and tastes even better. Absolutely delicious cannoli too and charming atmosphere for dining in — like 1979 New Jersey. All love!

Friendly staff and great tasting pizza! Coming from the east coast, not a single place compared (sorry, not sorry it’s the truth). A good majority of places in New Mexico we’ve tried have been bland and tasteless, but NOT Giovanni’s. Their ingredients are very savory and the slices are thin and can be folded. We agree that they have the flavor and taste consistency of back home Jersey, Philly & NY style, and for that I am grateful. I would say it’s on the expensive side and wish they had promo coupons, but we haven’t seen any… and sometimes the crust is burnt, but that’s minor. Every order has been easy and consistent other than that. So thankful this place is here, thank you Giovanni’s!
