Looking for a lunch that gets you in quickly — then try this buffet which is minimally crowded with well spaced tables, a large selection of seafood as well as a friendly staff. The temperature of the food could be raised a little higher to give more of an optimum taste and flavor. The dessert section and cookies are phenomenal. The large parking lot is close to the front and the price is reasonable for the area. It’s a good socializing place because of its laid back atmosphere. The food is average at best but tasty.

WoW! Not just wow, we found arguably the best buffet in Iowa. Better than 99% of any other buffet out there.
The Food; It was more seafood that was properly done. Nothing dried out or under heat or steamed too long. And sushi that was freshly prepared. They had crab legs, shrimp, scallops, crayfish, mussels, and octopus. Along with salmon, halibut, and roast pork. This didn’t even include all of the normal Asian and American dishes,
The Service: She brought our drinks, cleared our table, and left us to graze. Refilled our drinks and kept it to a minimum. What more can you ask for.
The Atmosphere; nice and same themes.

Had been one other time w a friend. Was very good then but has been a few years. Was middle of afternoon on weekday this time. Warmers not keeping up w in regards to temp of food. Perhaps since time of day, very small amounts of most choices, sitting, sauceless, most likely absorbed. Had never had salmon that was actual fat rather than fish itself. Drinks are not included as are with many buffets, I am assuming. However, many different items to choose from. Lots of sushi options, but did not try any…??? I am not a fan of self scoop ice cream. Bill for 2, $36.12.

I used to love buffet city but went there today on a Saturday (around 12 pm) so thinking it’s lunch prices. A lot of the food was cold. The waitress did a good job with drinks and getting plates. When we got the bill found out then that the prices had went up and it was all day dinner prices on Saturday or Sunday. I feel like maybe they should tell people this but it used to be on Sunday that it was all day dinner. It was $20 per person, when it was just I think $16 or $17. If I would of known that we would of picked some where else to go. The 11 year old was even charged $20. Not worth it for $20 and kids being charged that price.

Came at 6pm on a Saturday. Cold old crab claws that didn’t even look right. Old stale fried rice. Stale donuts. Egg rolls didn’t taste right. Crawdads are nasty brown gunk all over the bottom of them. Siracha sauce has dried sauce on the opening. A call to the health department is definitely going to be happening. Was a first for my family and we definitely won’t be back.

I probably should’ve given 2 stars but the desert was really good except for the ice cream that wasn’t very frozen. The peppered chicken had no flavor, the rice noodles dish was bland at best, none of the food was warm and the green beans were ice cold. You had to scrape the bottom of the pans to get almost anything. I guess that they don’t care enough to stay on top of it. They advertised crab legs on the buffet and when I asked where they were the lady at the front desk stated that it was an additional charge and I’d have to order that separate. When I told her that it was advertised on the buffet, that’s why we came, all she said was sorry, but you can order them. I told her, no thank you, we’ll just not come back. She smiled at me and said sorry.

This is a traditional buffet restaurant where I had lunch. The overall experience was very satisfying. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The variety of food is impressive, catering to different tastes with everything from fresh salads and delicious hot dishes to a wide array of desserts. Most importantly, the prices are reasonable, offering great value for money. Highly recommended!
