My fiancée and I were celebrating our anniversary and we ordered 2 sakes and a lychee martini. Then we also got two omakase sets to be surprised. We additionally added the wagyu that comes with the hot rock to cook and tempura shrimp and cauliflower.
The fish was buttery and delicious; It was an amazing experience. The service was above and beyond. The servers were so kind to add an extra dish and dessert for our anniversary, it was so sweet.
It was phenomenal like I would definitely come back for a special occasion!

What an experience!! for my first omakase, this definitely set the standards high. I was able to snag one of the happy hour seatings, loved all of it. i got the Lychee martini, yummy. I ended up ordering a 2nd piece of the shima Aji, but the chutoro blue fin was 2nd favorite, and the akami 3rd. I’ll definitely be back again for a larger tasting.

The Happy hour omakase is definitely a steal. It is a small location so it did feel a little snug. Overall I would definitely go back but only during Happy hour.

The vibe was good. Omakase bar was quiet enough to talk but also lively
Sake options excellent
Quality fish – for sure
Service – was good
No sake pairing with the omakase

Inexperienced chefs – definitely… the way the fish were handled was not good. All types of fish got cut/sliced without the knife getting wiped in between. Rice was stored in plastic takeout containers and the same goes for the other ingredients right on the bar. Our chef was unsure which fish is what and which dish was next even when he already has a “checklist” for all to see. Also spilled ingredients on the bar.

Pace is the same whether people got 15 or 20 courses. Had another group who ordered 15 and we ordered 20 and we had some cooked dishes in between that we had to eat fast otherwise the next nigiri would have just sat on our plate for a while.

Bill at the end of the experience was too much for what we actually got. Would not come back for the price vs. quality of the omakase overall. I would just stick to going to Uchi really

Redeeming quality was the attitude and how they tried to make it a fun place.

We are so wowed by our happy hour experience at Oheya! You get unbelievable value for the 10 course happy hour menu with 6 dollar cocktails. It’s intimate seating so just a really fun experience in every way. Service was fantastic as well. The chefs were friendly and told us about each item. Get in if you can!

Came to this from out of town and first time having omakase. It was quite an experience that’s worth the price. Service was amazing as the staff took time to introduce the food and honestly they are really happy to serve you and chat about anything. Each sushi and dish is a delicious explosion of flavor and my brain was trying to process everything with everything that is going on. Quality and flavor is amazing. Definitely recommend it!

Oheya is an omakase style restaurant that just excels in both quality and overall experience!

As soon as you walk in, it’s like you’re instantly transported to Japan. The environment is beautiful, employees are tentative, and friendly.

The menu is always evolving every 2 months. So there’s no reason to not stop in and experience something new on each visit.

I’ve included a picture of the current menu for Nov ’24. While the menu is in order of the photos uploaded. The chef’s were kind enough to include some specials for us. So there’s a few that aren’t on the menu.

Watch a few of the videos to see the precision and detail that is taken on each serving.

“We” personally loved this experience mainly because the attentiveness of the chefs that was direct at us as a group. It gave us a sense of focused attentiveness when enjoying the over all experience.

Loved how each group had different start / end times, so everyone received the same attention to detail.

Oheya is at the top of their game and number 1 in our book.

We can’t wait to return to try more.
Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Very intimate dinning experience, service was good, presentations were also good. Wine pairings was ok to me but if you are expecting more authentic Japanese style pairings this won’t be it. And one thing bothers me is there’s always a layer of coarse salt between fish and rice which almost prevents you to taste the sweetness of the fish and rice plus it messes up the smooth texture. Not sure if it’s a “signature” here but with all other great spices and unique flavored dressing this layer of salt is just too noticeable in a confusing way.
