We visited on 11-12-25 Don Ramón on Richmond Rd, and everything looks so different now, it seems like there are new owners or new management. My husband and I used to be regular customers at the Mayfield location, but we had an unfortunate incident where the server attended us under the influence of alcohol, so we decided not to return.
Now we’re working just 3 minutes away from Don Ramon at Richmond, so we decided to give it another try, even though in the past we also had a bad experience.
Since the moment you walk in, the restaurant looks beautifully decorated, very clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. Most importantly, (teamwork).
The manager Antonio, who welcomed us, was super nice and friendly, (I believe he used to be a bartender at the Mayfield location). Our server Jose was excellent, we never had to ask for drink refills, he was very attentive. Every employee, from the food runner to the manager, works as a team, and that’s what I mean by teamwork.
That says a lot about the restaurant, from general management all the way to the dishwashers, everyone works as a team. That’s why I believe this location has different owners or management compared to Mayfield. Without a doubt, we’ll be coming back at least once a week!
We also really liked the new idea of showing food photos on the TV, it help us to decide what to order and really tempts the palate.
The new dish “Piña Mar y Tierra”, absolutely the best of the best, 100/10!

Stumbled upon Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant on my way to Lowes. First thing I noticed was how well the place was decorated and how clean everything was. Decided on the Lunch Special #18 Burrito! Delicious! Got a peach & raspberry margarita… And it was a banger! Definitely recommend this place!

Mid doesn’t even describe the food. Started with the “sampler” aka a sample of a piece of some food. Literally one item of each cut into small pieces. The birria tacos were the strangest tacos ever. They shell was soggy but looked like it was grilled and blistered. The meat was very bland and tough. Can definitely see why there were almost no customers within the establishment. When we arrived it took several minutes to be greeted by the associate even though it was dead. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Very overpriced.

Delicious. I recommend the grilled chicken instead of the shredded chicken. Bursting with flavor! Rice and beans are always on point. We’ve never had to wait for a seat here. Food always comes out fast!

Went for my anniversary, the food was just okay/meh. The server was nice but me and my partner were disappointed in the flavor of the food and lack of spiciness at all. Even the alcohol didn’t get me tipsy at all, in all a very disappointing and underwhelming anniversary dinner. He barely even wanted to finish his plate which is unusual because he talked so highly of this restaurant, guess it changed. We both had the chicken ,cheese and beef enchilada platters. Good service, nice atmosphere but, food had lack of flavor. Very disappointing.

I came to this restaurant with my husband for a drink and appetizer but the service was really good. Was told under new management and the service showed. The manager Antonio was very attentive. The service was great and we will be returning again soon.
