Enchiladas Banderas we’re quite good. The rice is your standard American Mexican restaurant fare. Abundant chips and salsa, and the salsa was pretty good. The margaritas are legitimately bad. Pretty sure they just pour them out of a bottle.
Service was friendly, and attentive.

Great food, fresh and well prepared. Fried ice cream is a must. Would love to hear some louder music and possibly more lively atmosphere.
Skinny margs are alright, good tequila quantities but would be nice if they offered a fresh house-made marg mix. Rather than the syrup.

Was a good spot for lunch. Price and quality and quantity were on point. 4 of us and with two beers and two waters ( the ladies’ lol) bill was in the 60s with tip. Not bad nowadays for 4. Food was tasty with plenty of it! Friendly staff with a little language barrier, but still good. Bathrooms were awesome, I have to say. It looks like their may have been some outside seating that may be pet friendly. Not sure but I will update the review after we go back with the hound in tow. I think in lynchburg there is three of these restaurants. Not sure if the others share the same menus or have outside seating, but this one was definitely worth the visit and return visit. Check em out!

Update: After five employees conversed among themselves, I found out the seating outside is not pet friendly. Major bummer. I was really hoping to make this place my go-to Mexican restaurant in lynchburg. Still great food though.

We eat at LaCaretta quite often, manly Wards Road. Was in the area so called in an order to pickup the food was overcooked and burnt in all of our meals, no salsa and only one small bag of chips for three meals. Definitely will never go back to the Forest location.

Ordered steak and shrimp. The steak was awful. It was old and overcooked. It is the last time we will eat here. Both of us had “intestinal discomfort” in the night. My wife did not eat the same meal, but we both suffered.

Fantastic, fantastic food but frankly disappointing service. Servers repeatedly left drinks unrefilled while socializing at the host stand. The only thing saving the experience was the food, which excelled in both taste and value.

From my experience the food here is great every time. I have yet to have a bad meal from any of the locations. La Carreta is one of the best in the state.
