Perfect place to dine and enjoy sushi in Monterey. Beautiful atmosphere and impeccable service. Our server took time to explain the menu and give suggestions according to our taste. The place has sitting inside and outdoors. The restaurant is in the Spanish bay Inn and parking/valet is available.
Their cocktails were perfect and enjoyable. Its better to make reservations as the place is busy during the holidays.

Absolutely outstanding experience at Roy’s at Pebble Beach! The ocean view was breathtaking, and the warm glow from the fireplace made the evening feel extra special. Our server, Jose, went above and beyond attentive, friendly, and incredibly professional. The food was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Between the stunning setting and the top-notch service, this was easily one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve ever had. Thanks!

Went there with my girlfriend for her birthday, was the best decision ever. The food was amazing, view was beautiful, and most importantly the fire pit setting was great. The complementary birthday cake was delicious, made the night perfect. No words can describe how good the short ribs appetizer are so make sure to get those! Don’t forget to ask to be seated outside especially if you go around sunset time.

The view is absolutely unbeatable — right by the beach, and you can watch the waves while you eat! However, the food is extremely overpriced for what you get.

The butterfish was tender and melted in my mouth, but the sauce was overly sweet and salty, and at $59, it didn’t feel worth it. The poke bowl was tasty but came with a small portion of fish and cost around $50, which is way too much for the size.

Beautiful setting, but I’d recommend coming here for the view and drinks, not for the meal.

Thankfully they were open on thanksgiving day. I had the thanksgiving special which was delicious and the best bang for your buck. The beef and shrimp eggrolls and ribs were delicious. Making reservation online was seemless. Resort attire dress code but most people were in dresses and suits.

A Spectacular Luncheon with Views to Match!

We celebrated our 20th anniversary with a weekday lunch at Roy’s at Pebble Beach, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Located at The Inn at Spanish Bay, this spot perfectly blends an upscale ambiance with the relaxed, warm spirit of Hawaiian-fusion hospitality.

The Vibe & Service
From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly. We were seated outside, and the views were breathtaking–you truly can’t beat looking out over the Pacific Ocean and the lush golf course while you eat.

The Food
The Pacific Rim cuisine here is top-tier. Here is what we enjoyed:
* Lakanilau Roll: This was a standout! The combination of seared domestic Wagyu, spicy Dungeness crab, panko asparagus, and avocado was easily one of the best rolls we’ve ever had.
* Miso & Cream of Broccoli Soups: We tried both. While the miso soup originally came out a bit lukewarm, the staff didn’t hesitate to fix it. They were happy to take it back and brought out a fresh, piping-hot bowl immediately. Great service!
* Fire-Grilled Honey Mustard Beef Short Ribs: These were fabulous. The ribs were so tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with an awesome potato patty and broccolini.
* Big Island Loco Moco: A very filling and sumptuous dish. The beef patty with the oyster mushroom sauce and fried egg was pure comfort food elevated to a gourmet level.

The Sweet Ending
We finished with the “Melting Hot” Chocolate Cake served with raspberry-vanilla swirl ice cream. It was divine–rich, gooey, and “too good” to put into words! To top off the celebration, the staff brought out a complimentary anniversary dessert with a sweet message written on the plate.

Final Verdict
Between the stunning views, the incredible food, and the attentive service, our anniversary lunch was perfect. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion in Pebble Beach, Roy’s is a must-visit.

Very nice environment. The view at the beach is great. Service is good. Little bit pricey. Considering the unique atmosphere and tasty food, it is worth a try. You can waive $12 of the entrance fee if you mention having lunch or dinner at Roy’s.

The place is obviously quite gorgeous, overseeing somewhat the pacific ocean; the sight is slightly obstructed with tiny hills, mostly from the golf course; nevertheless, it’s an absolutely outstanding location to enjoy a drink and some ‚Apero‘ bites.

And I was very lucky to just catch the ‚Bagpiper‘, walking up from the golf course towards the bar, right at the sunset time (see video and pics) … super cool idea, but still not sure what Scotland has to do with the place there, except that the golf course is called ‚Links‘ 🙂

What I really didn’t like was the way ‚Outsiders‘ are treated by the waiter (hence rating of 3) – i felt like I‘m just a burden to the waiter because he knew that I wasn‘t gonna spend a fortune there when I did not order Snacks with my Beer, after a round of golf; it was already 6pm and I obviously choose to eat a ‚real meal‘ soon – is that so hard to understand or grasp that I wouldn’t order a snack at that time? And if one drives a car, it‘s also not recommended to go all in with cocktails … Really disappointed by that experience …

Service was great and friendly. Make quick reservations early morning for a birthday brunch. They quickly made note of it within the hour!

Food was great and view was amazing. Regardless if you’re playing golf or staying at the hotel, the restaurant is absolutely worth visiting again. Thanks for the great breakfast!

They come for the views and for the drinks. But don’t come for the pork ribs. The ribs were supercalifragilisticexpialidocious salty. A side of fries came with a side of grease sliding under the fries. Drinks were the most expensive in town! Sunset views are spectacular and many diners frolic on the grass and along the ocean coast, or daze into the communal fire pits after taking selfies. Slick, well dressed golfers take their drinks at Roy’s; an air of hobnob, affluence, and tourists gather to rub elbows within a elbow’s reach of each other.
