Overall, all the foods is the same. I find it a little bit a bit expensive for what you get. Thankfully the food does taste somewhat decent and if you like, you can compare it with beer or wine which is what most of the adults in our group did this night. One thing that most of the girls in our group complained about is the red wine was freezing good thing for white wine but not for red.
Overall, I’ll probably come here again because we have friends in this area and my daughter and their kids like this place. Just kind of wish the food wasn’t as expensive as it is but it is the world we live now but thankfully it does taste a lot better than McDonald’s.
In general it was an OK, more disappointing, experience. Might come back, probably won’t.
After dinner, we let the kids play outside and all of the adults were outside watching the kids. There were TONS of kids outside and all age ranges. There were some teenagers throwing a football and one of them threw the football and hit my two year old in the face. We quickly made sure our son was okay and told the kids not to throw the football.
Why were there older kids playing football in the play area? Where are the parents? We walked inside to see the parents drinking wine and beer. We told the staff and they didn’t know what to do (they were teenagers themselves.)
In my opinion, there should be some sort of policy with no footballs or other balls. Also, the staff should go outside every once in a while and make sure there are no playground violations. I believe it is the responsibility of the parents to police their kids, but it is also the responsibility of the restaurant to enforce the rules of the playground.
The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are friendly and inviting, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nestled in a wonderful neighborhood, Hat Creek McKinney is more than just a place to eat—it’s a community hub where families can gather, relax, and enjoy great food together. Definitely worth a visit!
The ingredients are quality. The meat and bread are fresh. The chicken and fries are seasoned. They have fried pickles! Their shakes are amazing .
If you have any kind of restricted diet, fear not. There are many options for you. The outdoor eating area is great and we usually sit out there so our kids can play. Even in Summer it’s shaded and cool. In fact the AC inside is too cold for me and I prefer the outside.
First and foremost, the buffalo wings I ordered were incredibly dry. It was evident that they had been overcooked, resulting in a disappointing texture. The dryness of the wings made them challenging to enjoy, and it was far from the succulent and flavorful experience I was hoping for.
To make matters worse, the appearance of the chicken wings was less than appetizing. They seemed as if they had been sitting around for a while, and the meat looked unappetizingly old and discolored. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell emanating from the wings, which immediately raised concerns about their freshness.
The most concerning part of my experience was discovering that the wings had been fried a second time before being served to me. This suggested a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen and a disregard for the quality of the food being served to customers. Re-frying food not only affects its taste but can also make it less healthy.
All in all, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t help but compare the quality of the food at Hat Creek Burger Company to that of a fast-food chain like McDonald’s. While I’m not usually one to compare, in this case, McDonald’s nuggets and burgers seemed far superior in terms of taste and quality.
I hope that Hat Creek Burger Company takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the quality of their dishes. For now, I cannot recommend dining there, especially if you’re looking for delicious buffalo wings and chicken burgers.
In addition to the disappointing buffalo wings and chicken burger, I also ordered a side of fries with cheese at Hat Creek Burger Company. Unfortunately, this dish failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
Firstly, the fries were not served hot, which was a major letdown. I believe that a crucial aspect of enjoying fries is their temperature, and in this case, they were lukewarm at best. Cold fries can never match the satisfaction of hot, crispy ones.
Furthermore, the cheese topping on the fries was far from what I anticipated. It had not melted properly, leaving the cheese in a clumpy and unappetizing state. I was expecting a gooey and savory cheese experience, but instead, I was met with a lackluster and unimpressive topping.
