We always stop here for a bite when we fly in to visit with family. Doesn’t matter how packed the lot is, there’s always a table available inside. The five of us had lunch and because they have a full bar (with very reasonable liquor prices) I ha a bourbon because, well, I’m on vacation and was not driving! Service is flat out perfect. In NJ, diner wait staffing is a profession and the team at Star View do it well. Our group had Philly Cheese Steaks, Pasta Alfredo with chicken, chicken tenders and nachos with chicken chunks. The sides are large and fresh including fries if that’s your selection. Will go back once more before we fly out.

I wanted to like this place because the staff is really good but the food was not good. My French toast tasted stale and inedible.The bacon was hard sorta burnt. It was a very sad omelette and everything costed me 30 bucks for a meal I didn’t enjoy the slightest. I won’t be coming here again.

The service was fantastic. I wish I were better at remembering names so I could tell you who our wonderful waitress was. She fantastic. Her recommendations were right on the spot. Each of enjoyed our meals. The cream of crab soup was delightful. I highly recommend it. Even my picky eater liked it. I couldnt get over the size of the portions. I had seafood fra diavolo. It wasn’t the little frozen shrimp and tiny scallops with a few little mussels thrown in. These were jumbo shrimp and scallops with a lot of mussels and clams. It wasn’t very expensive either.

Always a nice time at Star view diner. Heart of South Jersey and one of the better diners in the area. Great, typical breakfast food. I had the hungry Man special as well as a cappuccino.

Came here was in the area it’s a diner n a bar didn’t wait long to be seated waitress came over right away got my drink order n ask if I needed a few minutes to look over the menu came back a few minutes later to take my order the waitress was nice

Wife ordered fruit, got some nasty stuff she could eat. I order the special number 1 prime rib and it came out disgusting. Dont recommend. I had 3 different waitresses during my hour there. Look at the pic I posted. Should strawberries be brown in the middle? My steak was way over cooked when I asked for medium.

Stopped in for Sunday morning breakfast. Seated quickly even though quite busy. Very pleasant waitress took my order promptly and served up hot coffee. Breakfast came fast and was perfectly prepared. My ham & cheese omelette featured “carved” ham as opposed to lunch meat type, more like Easter Sunday ham. Home fries were hot, crisp and tasty. All in all a really solid breakfast for the price. Add in some morning news and light chat from a great server and consider this diner good. Full hot breakfast and coffee served up quickly and pleasantly all for under $20. The quality and value of this diner is evidenced by what seems like a very strong presence of locals.
