Came here after dinner at Yellow Brix (just next door). I was not sure which flavors to get so I got their 2 scoops small cup ice cream and asked for their 2 most popular flavors.
The staff there was really nice about it and gave me 3 FLAVORS! I cannot remember exactly what they were but they were all delicious. Shout out to the amazing person who served me!

Vintage flavor ice cream, like the fruit candy in tin can when I was kid, worth to try, I also recommand their cheese burger, nice seared patty, melted cheese and crunch lettuce, love it, just traveling here and feeling lucky to take a try here.

Got the 8 oz cheese burger. Not gonna lie literally the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. Burger fell apart. The bun was wet and soaked from grease, couldn’t even hold it without pressing right through.

Quick and friendly service, very cute little spot to sit and relax. The bf enjoyed it and was excited to have the ice cream he hasn’t had since his childhood. Locals were friendly too. 10/10

It was my first time coming to this place & I’m so glad I did. It deserves waaayy more than 5 stars. I visited Kaleidoscoops with my fiance, mother. We had ordered Catfish, Crispy chicken salad, and a Burger w/ Cheese tots. Really fresh food! Everything was amazing. The salad we had received was well worth the money! You won’t be disappointed coming here. The staff are very helpful & polite. There was seating outside which was nice at the end of a long day. We also had dessert. Superman waffle cone, Rocky road M&m’s waffle cone, Strawberry Cheesecake waffle cone ice cream. All employees were wearing masks. I will be returning here when i am visiting again!!!

Stopped by to have a quick bite today i came with a crowd of 3, the food wasn’t how it use to be. This place is great for ice cream but pass on the oil greased food it’s not worth the money. Upon entering we picked a spot to sit inside all tables were dirty, we wiped down the table we were at ourselves. I had ordered 2 catfish baskets with waffle fries, a kids chicken tender basket, 1 double cheese burger basket, cheesy tots. The only thing that was good was the cheesy tots and the waffle fries. For $70. The portion sizes are not worth the money….we left unsatisfied. This place use to be so good, it’s run by mostly teenagers so of course our youth is where it’s at now a days. * LONG STORY SHORT COME FOR THE ICE CREAM NOT THE FOOD. *

I was so looking forward to having lunch at the kaleidoscope’s ice cream shop when I heard they had catfish. My wife had the cheeseburger basket and I had the catfish basket. I also ordered onion rings to try. On the upside, the onion rings were one of the best side orders I have had. I could not eat all the catfish because some of the pieces were not fresh. No more to say about that. My wife’s cheeseburger had an unusual texture to the meat and had no seasoning on the hamburger patty. Lettuce, tomato and bun or adequate? I didn’t try their ice cream my wife did and said it was okay. I was very disappointed. As you can see The cheeseburgers cheese was not melted.

Ice cream is amazing but if you want a burger that’s not fast food but is quick to serve this is the place, well most of the time its like a 15 minute wait, but trust me.. this is the only place I go for burgers. This might not be the best pic, but dang, it’s delicious. Carlsbad has its bad reputation for service, but this place is good all around. Thank you, kaleidoscoops!

The ice cream doesn’t even taste like ice cream, some of the flavors taste bland and it feels like eating expired yogurt. The staff were okay but they weren’t wearing gloves and the whole place was unhygenic. I liked the vintage charm of the restaurant though, and they had other things than ice cream.

We were visiting from out of state and decided to stop by for a treat for the family. Based on some of the reviews we were slightly weary, but gave it a try. We were very happy with the service and the ice cream was delicious!!! The staff was super friendly as well. The kids got 2 small scoops and they were far from small. I shared a banana split that was so good I forgot to take a before picture

Went there for supper tonight, happy hour is 300 to 530 pm. We got the daily special which was a cheeseburger basket. It came with a burger, fries and a drink for 13.50. Delicious, good portions and great customer service. Plus, we ate outside and had a great view of the sunset.
