We visited for lunch on a Friday in August. When we arrived there was free parking on the street. We learned there’s also a parking lot in the back and a back door by the restrooms. It was seat yourself. There was only one other table when we arrived. My the time we left it was reasonably busy but there were still open tables. Our server came right away and took our drink orders. She was very nice and attentive. The menu is wide, mostly bar food. Our food came out quickly after we ordered. It was very good! I got the chicken club and fries and around it was one of the best I’ve had. It was served on a pretzel bun, which was unexpected but great. The atmosphere really makes this place. It’s an old building from the 1800s with tall ceilings, wood work, exposed red brick and the most gorgeous Victorian tin ceiling. I came for the architecture and was not disappointed. The bathrooms are tiny but that’s too be expected in such an old building. They are on the first floor and that’s a good thing. Many in old buildings are in the basement. I recommend this pub to anyone looking for a good place to eat in Hillsdale.

Great stop over lunch place. The food is really great. Quaint small town fair. We stopped as we had a layover before boarding our steam train excursion. The server got us and a few others in and out in time. I had the Cuban sandwich with tater tots, and my wife had a Mac and cheese burger all in one. We will be back! Very nice atmosphere.

First time here, cool looking bar and pub with exposed brick and that nice wood architecture inside. We had the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer which was ok but have had better and paying $15 for it seemed high. I had the Mac and Cheese burger with tater tots, which hit the spot well. The bacon on it was very good, the Mac and Cheese on top was ok. My wife had the Stallion sandwich with shaved Ribeye, peppers, onions and cheese, she enjoyed it and the sweet potato fries were well seasoned. Had a beer from local brewery, forgot the name but it was smooth. Wait staff was great and attentive.

This was our first stop on a quick trip to Hillsdale. We loved the buffalo chicken egg rolls – delicious! My chicken caesar salad also was wonderful. A really cozy spot for a great meal!

We’ve tried their burgers, sandwiches, and bluegill basket – all are good and they always have a few craft beers on tap to choose from. They are open when other places are closed and offer a nice experience with good staff and good pub food.

Opened on Sunday’s. Great staff. Food is some of the best we have had. Prices might be a bit more expensive than other places, but dang, the food was actually cooked correctly. Well worth the slightly higher price. Got to watch the Lions actually win a game. Overall, great place. I will be returning.

The food is very well priced with an amazing variety.
The sweet potato fries and the Wiley Potato were just OK, but the sandwiches were so good it stays a 5 for me.
I’m from Ohio, and I’ll drive back here just for the Ruben.

Get the waffle fries and my GF loved the roast beef. Bluegill basket is so so. Burgers are fantastic as well.
I got another Ruben and it was just as good.

Great food..the pretzel was amazing especially with the Arizona Heat sauce yummy . Our server was very good and recommended a few of the specials. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Hillsdale.
