The location of the Deck is cool. The views from the 21 and over deck are pretty good. The walk down the ramp can be steep for some people and back up. The food was ok our smash burger was dry. Chicken sandwich not bad. Chicken quesdilla was the highlight of our meal.
Not sure if the bar knows how to pour alcohol both drinks were light very light. The service was super friendly and attentive.

I was pleased with a few things and underwhelmed with a few others. The fries and calamari sauce- phenomenal. The burger and calamari- not phenomenal. The drinks were great, though. The employees were friendly, but the server was a little forgetful. It’s very casual and low-key- exactly what I was looking for. The view was great for sunset without all the people and traffic.

I use to live in the NW. When I said to my friends I would like to go to The Deck, but readily agreed…they just had forgotten about it.

So we were off. Not for people with mobility issues for the steep ramp is a bit difficult to go down and only those in shape can get up to get to the parking lot.

However, for me it worth it. Great food, on the water…and great place just to be.

Love it there!

Wonderful covered outdoor place on the dock out in the water of the Columbia River. Great atmosphere for drinks and food. Bay shrimp cocktail was huge. 2 lbs of steamer class were delicious. Nice variety of specialty cocktails.

Perfect place for lunch or dinner in the sunny weather. They are located right on the water, so the view is awesome. Our waitress Laura was great! She was friendly, she took our other in a timely manner, and the food was fantastic!! It’s outdoor seating that’s covered, so you get the fresh air and sunshine without getting too hot from the direct sunlight. However, if you like the direct sunlight, they also have seating without the cover with umbrellas. The restaurant was very clean and they played music (not too loud). I will definitely be adding The Deck to my fave list when they are open for business.

Very disappointed with the food. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and it was served in a large mug at best. If a bowl has a mug handle it’s not a bowl. $16.00 for clam chowder with very small pieces of clams, about the size of bacon bits is not what you would expect. Although it tasted good it was not a thick chowder the way it should be. The turkey wrap had maybe 2 slices of deli meat turkey and a thin slice of cheese and a lot of chopped lettuce. The onion petals were greasy and the onions not quite cooked all the way plus one of the pieces had raw dough under the outside crust. They either didn’t cook it long enough or the oil wasn’t hot enough. The dipping sauce served with the onions had a film on top like it had been sitting out uncovered. They need to do something about their seats. They have 2 sizes of bar stools, 1 is too low the other too high, they need a Goldilocks size. No plans on going again.

Hands down a great spot on the river. The food was amazing. Drake took great care of us , we had a fun conversation with him throughout the evening. Next time we are in Portland we will be back.

The Deck is THE Columbia River glow-up spot—sun on your face, cocktail in your hand, and vibes so good you’ll swear you’re on vacation.

We came, we sipped, we conquered the menu—and let me tell you, the vibes were as crisp as that Columbia River breeze. The staff knows how to keep the good times flowing, and the whole experience screams “you deserve this.”

Pro tip: snag an outdoor seat, order a margarita (or two, we don’t judge), and live your main character fantasy while the boats drift by. This place? Chef’s kiss.

We had a great experience here on a very warm May day. The views were absolutely beautiful across the Columbia River. Our server was a pretty nice guy that took our orders and gave us our space. He was just the right amount of attentive. The food was pretty good. We ordered the Deck burger and the Bacon Pesto Grilled Cheese sandwich. The Deck burger was their version of a french dip burger. It was pretty tasty. The menu said the fries were battered, they definitely were not! The grilled cheese was not amazing. Actually it was rather bland. I wish it would have been better like its name described. Overall, it was a good experience and we will return.

It is a bit of a walk cuz it’s down literally on the river but so worth it. The servers were super nice. The food was so good. The French fries had a hint of lime so be prepared for that. The cheese burger was so juicy and I could add pineapple which I love. We also had the calmari and it was fantastic. The fish was fresh warm and crispy. Can’t wait to try it again.
