My wife and I dined here on January 19, 2026 while visiting the Homosassa Springs and Crystal River area. It appeared to be under new ownership since the last time we visited this area about 6 years ago, and when we walked in, we noticed that right away as there had been a lot of remodeling and reconstruction, likely because it got flooded out during Hurricane Helen in September 2024. Inside, it’s bare bones rustic, and they still had all the XMAS lights up, but they probably stay up year round because the inside atmosphere has a warm and cozy “Redneck Sheik” vibe to. We sat at a table close to the bar since the NCAA Football Championship Game was on. Our server Whitney H. was prompt an attentive for the 90 minutes we sat at the table until we moved up to the bar to watch the last quarter of the game. We both ordered large Greek Dinner Salads (which were super fresh), and also Broccoli Cheddar Bites. I was somewhat enamoured by the fact that they had “Natty Light” beer on tap (BUSCH Natural Light), which is sort of the new Redneck National beer of the USA. I had two of them and they were both ice cold served in chilled glasses. They also had Amber Bock on draft, as well as Michelob Ultra. The place was packed with diners until about 10:00 pm, and most of them seemed like local retirees. About 10:30 pm, the dining room was empty and then the “rougher looking” regular local crowd showed up and started playing pool. Everybody was super friendly and polite, so we went back a few nights later to have a night cap. There is a small band shell outside, and the parking lot is a bit on the small side and unpaved. Other than that, we had a great time here, and we’ll surely go back the next time we visit the area.

The only real bar in town. Opens early and closes late. Great fresh fish and food except for the vegetable side dish … It was a pile of pre frozen veggies like you’d see on a school lunch cafeteria tray. Peas, carrots, corn and green beans.

Stopped by while we were in the area to kayak. The Christmas decorations are left up all year long making it feel fun as soon as you walk in. We visited on a Monday and it was .75 c wing night. The wings were cooked fresh with your choice of over a dozen sauces and dry rubs and they were served hot right out of the fryer. We also tried the house made chips with our choice of seasoning.(many to choose from), they were crisp and delicious. That staff were all very friendly and attentive. And the place was buzzing and busy with locals and tourists. We will definitely go back when we drive through again! This is worth a stop if you are looking for a casual, fun, up beat place for a beer and some food.

Couldn’t be more blessed to know of this place. The staff is so incredibly kind and hard working and the food has never failed to be perfect. I’ve tried over half the menu and have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The live music and karaoke nights are so enjoyable and the atmosphere is the best.

We love taking the golf cart to this spot on the weekends for breakfast! My favorite is “the holder” and the wife likes the breakfast bowl with sausage added.

First time eating food from the Old Mill Tavern. I saw previous Google reviews about how good the hot wings were so my friend and I decided to try some while in town. I got 10 hot and she got 10 mild to go. The wings had good flavor. The hot sauce was a classic Buffalo style. My hot wings were drenched in sauce while my friend’s mild wings were kinda on the dry side. What irks me is that out of my 10 wings only 2 were flats and the other 8 were drumsticks. I should’ve ordered all flats because that’s really what I enjoy. The drumsticks were just too large but that is my opinion. We called in our order and Monica was friendly over the phone and in person. I asked for one ranch and one blue cheese and they were placed inside the styrofoam with the wings. When I got back to the house (a 7 minute drive maybe) and opened the container I went to pick up one of the dressings by wrapping my fingers around the edge of the lid and it had warped from the heat from the food and caused the dressing to fall and spill all over my wings which I did not want dressing on ♀️ I was picking it up to hand to my friend. Her dressing cup also was warped from the heat. Cold things don’t belong inside hot containers. But again just my opinion. Still giving this place a five because the parking, inside atmosphere, menu selection, service & flavor of the food were all good Next time I’ll order all flats and ask for the sauce to be kept outside the container. Also this place seems steadily busy just based on the cars out front, so it must be pretty good.

Reminded me of the American Legion. Think all those who were there dining inside bc of the freezing temps the restaurants that only have outdoor dining were all closed the first week of February 2026. The waitress was so nice and we were both happy with our food. We ordered the pretzel and it was fabulous! Not fancy but very nice people.

Was not impressed. It’s basic “bar food” I ordered the fish & chips, It was one piece of fish, served upside down, in a paper lined basket, in a pool of oil. (Care level 0) Service was nice, but we won’t be coming back anytime soon. There are so many other places to try.

My friends and I including my wife had walked in there as a multi-racial group where I am the only black person and my wife is an asian, we ordered our food and we’ve waited for almost an hour. Meanwhile other regulars which I assume the normal civilians from the neighborhood have been served much faster and quicker than we were and we have ordered the same exact thing that they were ordering.
I felt so uncomfortable after I saw that to the point where I didn’t even want to eat and because I am a gentleman I didn’t want to just walk out of the establishment so therefore I kept my composure.
I personally do not look forward to step into the establishment again!
