They were not busy. We waited about a half hour to get our drink order in and then when we got our tea and ordered we waited for 25mins for food while a man and his daughter that had came in about the time we ordered our drinks got served faster and had food before us. When they finally brought the food they didn’t bring any silverware or the rolls and after 10mins I got up and went to counter and asked for them. We got a refill on our tea when the food arrived and we had been done with the first tea they gave us well before then. When we went to pay they at first gave us the receipt for the man and his daughter who had ordered an appetizer and we hadn’t ordered one. Then when we went to pay the waitress looked to the cashier like asking if we left a tip and she shook her head no. Well after that crummy service I wasn’t going to leave a tip. They have good food but if I ever want food from there again I’m getting takeout cause I don’t need service like that. But I doubt I’ll be back. It used to be a good place and country cooking homey place. What happened? There was maybe 4 tables that had people at them so they weren’t busy and the servers mainly hung out around the cashier gossiping instead of taking care of customers. So nope not going back

Of all the places my granddaughter could have had her 9th birthday party she chose “Time to Eat”! The staff went out to their way to provide us with a fabulous experience! When Emmy walked in the banquet room and saw the balloons and special tablecloths, her mouth fell open and she squealed with joy! The food was delicious! The kids choose chicken fangers and fries ( reasonably priced) and they made them special “pink lemonade”! Everyone had a blast! The adults ordered some fried green tomatoes and a couple of seafood dinners. I look forward to doing this more often! “Take your feet to Time to Eat”

To start, this restaurant has a smoking section that is not well vented and is close to the register. This is a huge negative for anyone who is looking to enjoy the taste of a meal and the overall atmosphere. It is a bit sad because the decor is extremely fascinating with a collection of clocks that could be a room in a museum.

The food was decent but nothing exceptional except the french toast which I was encouraged to try. The flavors were terrific. The sausage gravy was also good as well as the biscuits. They did up charged for a small piece of link sausage. Everything else was just normal breakfast.

If they’d shut down the smoking, I definitely consider going back.

Note beforehand: This is one of the only places I’ve been in with a dedicated smoking section beforehand. I didn’t notice a smell, probably because people don’t smoke as often. But, that is a thing here.

Now, the food is great. It is truly home-style Southern cooking. They have a pretty diverse menu with everything from their famous burgers to red beans and rice with connecuh sausage. You won’t be getting canned baked beans, everything tastes like it was made from scratch, with care. The portion sizes haven’t changed, and they are certain to leave you with a full belly.

The ambience here is unique, as every inch of the walls are covered with clocks of all shapes and sizes. It’s honestly a tourist location just for that fact alone.

Bonus: bring a clock for the wall and you get a free slice of pie, and you’ll be part of Mobile/Theodore history in a way.

Awesome little cafe in Mobile, the decor was interesting with a click for every occasion. The food was good but kinda bland and the pancakes were tough. Everything else was good. Better than east a fast food place for breakfast anytime.

Had dinner her with our large group while traveling through the area. Quirky decor with all the clocks made for a fun atmosphere. All our meals were excellent with generous portions. All the staff were very friendly with excellent service. We had a great time!

Delicious food. You could tell it was fresh. The service was all by highschool kids but they were EXTREMELY helpful and polite. They went above and beyond even when we were, by our own admission, in the wrong. They ask for a tip when you pay at all these types of restaurants now. And I always think, “Why would I tip now? I don’t even know if it’s gonna be a good experience.” Well, this time I went back and tipped. There was a young male that was exceptional even though they were all MORE THAN accommodating. Not to mention that when we left we were actually full. My body felt good. I felt like it was telling me, “Now, that is food. Give me more of that and less of the Golden Arches down the street”

Time To Eat Cafe catered our holiday party here at work and I cannot praise them enough! Ken, Dolly, and Michelle were absolute life savers at the last minute and I’m so grateful for them. The food was delicious and the way they worked to get everything set up and taken down is so very much appreciated! That paired with their kindness and smiles will have them first on our list for future events! Thank you all so much for everything! 🙂
