I didn’t know what to expect when I found this joint on my GPS, but let me tell you, it is not the last time I will come here. Though I ordered online, when I walked in to get my order, I was shocked by how cool and somewhat iconic the joint was. It was a walk up counter where you would order and then go find your seat in order to be served. I definitely plan on doing that in the future. The burger itself was incredible. I was not expecting it to be this show stopping. The french fries were good, but I didn’t ask for no salt so I expected there to be salt on it and it didn’t seem like there was any salt or seasoning really on them. Note to myself for next time. After walking into the building, I instantly regretted not getting a milkshake, but I’m sure I will get that the next time I venture there.
And the staff was the most friendly bunch of college and high school age kids I’ve ever met. Super helpful, super attentive, super excited to be working.

I went to this place on Saturday, it make my belly very very happy , love the lemonade ,i order the bbq bubba with bison meat very nice also a large order of onion rings man , this last me almost a complete trip down to border of south Massachusetts.
I would recommend this place if you’re in town very good .If you’re a rush person , don’t get discouraged the business is almost run by young servers and they treat good. I order my food to go and was around 15 minutes . I will definitely recommend this business.

I love the burgers. They are phenomenal. The staff is great. They’ve been a staple forever and my vegetarian friends also report the veggie burgers are way above average. When I make it, I love to stop on my way up to my sister’s further north.
I’ve knocked a star off because unfortunately, they’ve had a recent downgrade in their french fries. they said they switched to beef tallow sometime between my last visit and my previous one.
There’s two issues with this: 1) my vegetarian friends could no longer eat them so we had to run across the street for chips 2) they just were not as tasty. very dry and bland because they wouldn’t hold the salt. Previously, I would have said they had some of the best fries available. extremely above average, go out of your way to get them type fries. Now, I’d tell people to mostly skip them.
so yeah:
awesome burgers. awesome staff. skip the updated fries. go 10 minutes down the road and pick them up at 5 guys or something instead.

The girls are always super welcoming the second you walk in the door. Food is always top notch, and the specials are always a delicious surprise. The sweet potato fries and onion rings are my favorite sides. I love that they always have whatever seasonal Downeast on tap.
Joe, one of the managers, is amazing. Whenever he’s working he always makes sure when I get a burger or chicken sandwich they’re not overcooked, and everything is full of flavor. He’s the greatest person on God’s green earth.
My kiddos and I love it here and are frequent visitors. Don’t forget to try the chicken tenders – there is nowhere better.

I have always loved this place, but my last 2 visits have made me wonder what’s going on. Both times, burgers were served cold… So cold that I have to think that they were pre-cooked and then partially warmed to order. The first time, I said something to the counter-staff and the burgers were replaced with hot ones. The last time was a take-out order during lunch-break, and I didn’t have time to return. The chicken tenders have always been excellent, but also fell short on my most recent visit. It was obvious that the fry-oil had gotten stale. 2-stars for atmosphere because country music has no place in civilized society.

5 stars across the board! this place is truly a hidden gem and has quickly become one of my all time favorites. the service here is top notch. i never feel rushed or pressured to make decisions, which in turn creates one of the best relaxed atmospheres. the staff are incredible, caring, kind, and make you feel welcomed right in.
the real star of the show is the food though. the portions are generous with incredibly reasonable prices, and the quality is unmatched. everything is fresh and flavorful, and unlike other restaurants in the area, i get to leave feeling satisfied and energized, not weighed down or unwell.

Everything was delicious. Chili was a little spicy, but the steak in it was delicious. The onion rings so good, herb fries were rosemary forward but delicious as well, Maine burger was a little dry but still yummy!! Came here after a 6.5 hour drive after selling a boat from NJ and everything here was delicious, staff was very nice!! Would come here again! Thank you!

The burgers are to die for, considering how many i ate its no wonder why i know the menu like the back of my hand. From the spicy mayo to the tasty frappes i cant get enough of this place. Anytime family out of state visit i have to take them here as their first bite of New Hampshire. Big love to this place and to many more !
My most recent visit, I got a round up. My in laws got fried pickles, frappes, and wicked goods. I also got wicked goods, and it was perfect as always. My brother got a salad, and honestly, even that was well filled and beautiful to look at. And the decor is both hilarious and spot on.

For you see, on that fateful trip this usually beautiful place, all of the colors were swapped. Not just thematically or just wall art changes; even the paint on the walls and the tiles on the floor were mirrored! Nobody else in my family thought anything was odd about that, so I kept my mouth shut. However, sometimes in my darkest dreams or waking nightmares, I see the color-swapped version of the restaurant flash before my eyes, and I scream.
but while those screams echo around my carpeted bathroom floor. I am reminded of the growlers that they offer oh what beasts these things are. A weighty container of solid glass similar to that embedded in an aztec maquahuitl inspires a blood memory i did not know I possessed. The liquid in this container is both tasty and refreshing in addition to evoking flashbacks to conflicts I wasn’t in and they offer refills.
Pretty wild! Real Food for Real People, TM. That’s kind of foreboding now that I’m trying not to think about it. Does that mean that the people outside of this establishment are like shadows on the walls, like grizzle at the bottom of a deep fryer, far away from where all the action and fire of life reigns? But inside, you don’t have to worry about that, the burgers are 5/5; I’d come here again.
Despite what life changing expiriences i might have faced coming through such an establishment, nothing will ever make my opinions sway on this life altering, plane shifting, beauty that was a willy meal. Cheers to my brotheren with my growler in hand and a maquahuitl in the other, to the wildest of willies.
