TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

10/10!! The service and food here was amazing! The location was very clean inside (even though it was snowy and salty outside), this was my first time eating at this location as I was traveling.
The staff was very friendly and patient as well, my brother and I were checked up on several times by the individual behind the counter. I was even more impressed with the fact that I never saw anyone just standing around while no customers were coming in. Every person in the building was always doing something. Whether it was sweeping the entry way floors, wiping tables, or cleaning counters, everyone was working together! And as customers would come in, they were waited on almost instantly no matter what was going on. I love this franchise and the standard of quality/service that they uphold!

I have been hearing about how great the food was here and had to come try it since I was in town. This location was pretty busy, yet we got our food in a timely manner and the staff was very nice. I ordered the mild flavored chicken tenders and a side of cheese fries with a rasberry tea. It was all delicious!! I also love their pickles and signature sauce. The proportions were very big and super filling. Definitely recommend trying and will come back again.

BUYER BEWARE — as soon as I’m done updating this review, I’ll be filing a complaint with Attorney General Dana Nessels office for FALSE ADVERTISING. When I purchased Dave’s large sauce previously, it was fulfilled in my order as pictured, in the large cup as it was advertised and STILL continues to be advertised as, a large cup. Tonight after placing an over $50 order, I spent $9 for three large cups and received these three small cups instead and was told this was corporates change, but they are STILL falsely advertising this as a large cup pictured when it clearly is not a large cup, nor worth $3 as it’s pictured. NEVER AGAIN will I order here and I hope Dana investigates immediately. Shame on you!!!!!!!! Ripping off consumers.

I ordered two slider meal with Mac & cheese instead of fries and they gave me fries (I REALLY didn’t want fries). Now I’m stuck with fries I didn’t want or order. I’ll give it another try sometime but not in a hurry back (the sliders were delicious) but really disappointed. (Proof in photos)

5/5 Stars – The food at Dave’s in Troy is always fire, but Nabil Ahmed is the absolute G.O.A.T. of customer service. I’ve never seen someone handle a fast-paced kitchen with that much professionalism and energy. He made sure my order was perfect, crispy, and fresh. The chicken is 10/10, but Nabil’s service is the real reason to come here. Give that man a raise!

Where to start. The restaurant was clean, well lit, and I was greeted upon entering. The guy that helped me, PD, was super friendly and helpful and seemed generally pumped to sell me some chicken. The reason, because anyone would be proud to serve such hot and delicious food! The flavor amazing, the food hot, fries crispy and seasoned. Slaw and pickles were crunchy and fresh. If I had to choose how I thought I’d want my first Dave’s Hot Chicken experience to go, it would be this. And Pernail D. Will be the reason I buy merch. Loved his shirt and he told me where to find the merch. Great experience 10/10, wish I had one closer, but I will be back!

I was craving some juicy fried chicken at exactly 11:20 pm. I decided to order takeout from Dave’s and I was shocked when the orders came. At first inside their boxes they look like cute little happy chicks. I was very excited to go and eat at home with my friends. I came home open them, and I was loved by the view, took one bite, and then I was shocked. The chicken were dancing on my tongue not in the good way I had ordered light mild but this this was extraordinary. It was incredibly spicy. I have never ever eaten anything spicier like this. I had ordered light mild. It said light mild on my order, on the box but when I took it, it was not light mild. It was like reaper and I am a person that can handle spice. We had to wash the chicken to get all of the ugly spices off of it just so we can enjoy it, but that didn’t happen. It was incredibly despised by all of us and one of us almost ended in the hospital. I hope the manager sees this review and gives us a feedback $62.59 gone to waste.

Had such a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The prices were actually really decent for the amount of food we got. We ordered a couple of tender meals, some sliders, mac n cheese, and even tried a Reaper tender.
Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The spice levels were perfect, and you can tell the food wasn’t just sitting around. The mac n cheese was creamy, the sliders were stacked, and that Reaper tender definitely brought the heat.
Super impressed overall. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

I had an order that upon picking up they only gave me one of two bags, which given I don’t frequent Dave’s Hot Chicken, I had no idea the bag wasn’t right.
That in itself is pretty negligent but even after returning for the other food the order was missing buns and cheese for one order. Food is ok, but seriously get better processes where orders are confirmed or multiple bags are tied to each other to make sure people don’t have to return because workers don’t check orders to be complete.
