Baba Kabob Market & Deli is such a hidden gem. I stopped in with two friends and we ordered a few platters to share, and everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, which made it perfect for sharing, and you can really taste how fresh everything is. The meats were tender and flavorful, perfectly seasoned without being overpowering. The rice was fluffy, the salads were crisp, and the sauces tied everything together beautifully.

What I loved most is that the food feels homemade and authentic — not rushed or overly commercialized. You can tell there’s care put into every dish. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, and it has that neighborhood spot vibe where you feel comfortable lingering and enjoying your meal.

Othmane was our server, and he was so kind and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and added to the overall great experience.

We finished everything off with baklava, and I’m so glad we did. It was perfectly sweet, flaky, and rich without being too heavy — the ideal way to end the meal.

If you’re looking for flavorful, satisfying Mediterranean food with great portions and a cozy deli feel, Baba Kabob is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be back.

Wonderful experience! The service was excellent — very friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring servers who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The place itself is cute and charming, with a warm atmosphere and authentic Middle Eastern music that really adds to the experience.
I’m vegan, and I was especially impressed that the chef created a custom plate for me that wasn’t even on the menu — and did so without me having to ask. That level of thoughtfulness truly stood out. Everything came together beautifully, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Baba Kabob is a true gem in North Charleston. Every dish we tried was excellent — silky baba ganoush, perfectly seasoned grape leaves, tender and flavorful chicken shawarma, classic baklava, and an outstanding Dubai chocolate cake. Not a single miss. Prices are incredibly reasonable, with everything under $20, which feels rare for this level of quality.

One of my favorite parts is the small market attached to the restaurant. It’s stocked with Middle Eastern goods and an impressive spice selection you don’t see in most places around here. This is clearly a place that cares deeply about food, culture, and community. Highly recommend supporting this local business — you’ll eat very well.

Amazing place! The food is absolutely delicious and you can truly taste the quality in every dish. Everything is fresh, well-seasoned, and full of authentic flavor. The hummus was incredibly creamy, the rice perfectly cooked, and the meats were tender and flavorful.

The portions are generous, and the service is friendly and fast. The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and perfect for dining with family or friends.

Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for real, authentic Middle Eastern food! ✨

Tucked away in a quiet mall behind Walmart and Sam’s near Highway 526 and I-26, Baba Kabob and Market is a hidden gem. This family-run spot combines a cozy Middle Eastern restaurant with a connected market and deli offering halal meats. The menu, while concise, delivers a fantastic selection of halal Middle Eastern dishes, each prepared with care and bursting with flavor.

For dinner, I tried the Egyptian Hawawshi wrap—a traditional pita stuffed with spiced minced meat, onions, peppers, parsley, and optional chilies. It was incredibly juicy, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious. The lamb shawarma wrap, however, was a bit dry for my taste. When I mentioned this to the owner, he personally ensured my satisfaction by promptly replacing it with a mouthwatering kabob skewer and gyro lamb platter—both were phenomenal. The owner’s dedication, humility, and passion truly shine, as he wouldn’t let me leave until I was thrilled with my meal.

I capped off the experience with pistachio baklava, which was crispy, flaky, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet and utterly divine. If you’re in North Charleston, Baba Kabob is a must-visit for authentic, delicious Middle Eastern kabobs. Highly, highly recommended!

I grew up eating my grandmother’s Lebanese cooking, and coming here tonight brought back so many good memories! The food was delicious and the people were SO kind!! They also have a well-stocked grocery section with grape leaves, olive oil from Lebanon, tea, etc.! Kibbeh, grape leaves, lamb, and tabouli were all fantastic! I wish we lived closer!

It’s been so long since I’ve had a good plate of baba ganoush! The lamb gyro plate was also delicious. Happy to have made it back to this gem— last time we were in, they were renovating the dining area and we weren’t able to have a meal, so it was a joy to appreciate their cooking!
