The lasagna was horrible! It was served ice cold in the middle, not even warm. The noodles were complete mush. It just tasted old and reheated from the start. After I sent it back cold, they threw it back in the oven 5 minutes and brought me back total slop. I ate 3 bites and was done! My wife had the mosticcoli and it tasted reheated and old as well. The sauce was disgusting. Very disappointing.
The service from the waitress was really good. She was super nice and made sure our soda and water stayed full. It definitely wasn’t her fault the food sucked, that falls on the cook!

We were in the mood for Italian and decided to give Nonna Rosa a try. I had no idea it was so easy to get to from my house.

They do have veal Parmesan on the menu so I had that. My wife had chicken Parmesan. The sauce was good. The portions were good. The service was fast. We got seated right away on a summer Saturday without a reservation at about 6pm. The place was filling up when we left. Maybe a later crowd. I don’t know.

The bread was unique. Everything was delicious. I’d certainly eat here again.

Thanks for the great meal!

Had a great experience at Nonna Rosa’s. Nice and quaint restaurant in downtown Robbinsdale with ample parking in their shared lot behind the business. Our waitress, Bridget, was excellent and started us off with drinks from the bar along with a very large plate of fried ravioli as our appetizer. We went with the Gnocchi Vesuviani and Gnocchi Mare Monte as entrees. Both were fantastic. My Mare Monte had a fantastic white wine lemon creme sauce blended into the quarter-sized dumplings along with pancetta and diced asparagus. Quite a treat for the palate! My guest commented on how much he enjoyed the Pomodoro sauce with his Vesuviani. Everything was reasonably priced at $85 for both entrees, side salads, bread, appetizer and bar drinks. If you are looking for a nicely priced Italian restaurant with excellent food and service please try Nonna Rosa’s. You won’t be disappointed.

My compliments to chef Serena. She went well out of her way to make sure our meals were satisfying and delicious. It’s always a good feeling to see staff go above and beyond for the customers. Food was great! Definitely hit the spot for my Italian craving. Enjoyed every bite from appetizers to entrèe to sides and dessert. 🙂 highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

The food was excellent. The waiter was awesome, but it was obvious he was being run ragged; they are very under staffed.
The salmon was done very well. The risotto with portobello mushroom was excellent; very flavorful. The margarita pizza was pretty good. Their wine selection is pretty good too.
We’ll definitely be back.

I brought my daughter here for a mother daughter date and it was wonderful! We had so much fun, the food was mouth-watering and delicious! An wonderful date night location! Take a significant other, your family, or one on one time with your child! A tab pricey, but the food is worth it!

I can’t love this place enough. I love the decor, the food and the staff. My favorite dish is the Pork Balsamico. UPDATE: it’s been years, since the last time I was here. They have been bought and sold twice since then. And I’m happy to say they still are fabulous! I had gnocchi and I’d recommend it! They also have a patio, and that’s a plus!

Tried for the 1st time tonight ordered to go. Got one decent sized meatball to my build your own pasta. The tiramisu was really good, the container that it was in was sideways but not the biggest deal. Pasta was good also.

Visited on a Friday about 5pm. Restaurant had a dozen or so patrons at the time. There was only one server, who was pleasant enough but clearly overwhelmed. She said the dinner rush was starting early, but it really didn’t seem like much of a rush. This should be a one star review, but I’m awarding one extra star to the server for her yeoman’s work.

I ordered veal parmesan and my wife had spaghetti and meatballs. The veal was tough and dry and the meatballs were dry. Come to think about it the bread was dry/stale also! The tomato sauce on my entree had a watery consistency – thin even for soup, let alone sauce. Noodles were cooked ok, and the flavor was acceptable, but the textures overall were abominable. No complaints about the cocktails and salads.

One more thing: None of the staff were wearing COVID masks. Our visit was on 2/4/22, right in the middle of the 4th wave. This shows a very poor attitude, IMO.

We won’t be back.

Came for lunch and our waitress Aurora was great. Service was fast and friendly. I had the tortellini pugliesi, which was amazing, and my brother got the chicken parmigiana, also very good. Dessert was a delicious new hazelnut Krunch cake.
