At our W Memphis, AR location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The manager Clayton has great customer service. The store is clean, the staff wears gloves when preparing the food. My fish was fresh, crispy, and delicious. I should have taken the picture sooner, but it was so good.

Their was a Black Lady in the restaurant working today she wasn’t a young lady maybe middle age, she was wearing a headset and wearing all black maybe a manager, she was extremely rude to me but very nice to the people who accompanied me, she was very loud and verbal with her comments and I asked for water after my order and she called a gentleman from the kitchen to give me the water, and I quote her, she called his name and said this woman wants some water and she wants you to give it to her, cause she came up here yelling she wants some water, so that was a refusal of service and I said no I didn’t my voice just carries and she very loudly with others in the restaurant said yes you did. When I first entered the restaurant I gave My order then I saw a old friend and I got distracted by greeting him and forgot to pay, this is my first interaction with her, at this point she started saying things negative out loud in front of all the customers and I quickly apologized to the gentleman who I placed my order with, the gentleman was very nice and very helpful and he just laughed when I apologized, the same lady was standing at the register next to him making negative comments about me out loud and I just apologized and explained and paid. I thought this was very unprofessional and she kept giving me the mean face like she just couldn’t stand to look at me, what a horrible experience, and the fish wasn’t good part of it was raw. I will never go back into that store again, what a mean horrible person. Thanks to the gentleman who was working their for his kindness and his excellent service. I’ve never been so disrespected in any restaurant like I was today, on two occasions she very loudly made a mockery of me and when my cousin went to the counter and said she wanted some water the same lady very quickly and quietly gave her the water with a smile. So she purposely targeted me for some strange reasons.

Ordered from here through DoorDash. Was the best option for a decent not fast food meal. Got my food really fast and received everything I ordered. Tried the funnel stix for the first time and they were pretty good. They gave me more than enough butter to enjoy my cob of corn. Wished I would’ve gotten about a spoonful more of rice to go with my fish. But I got the extra broccoli and added shrimp skewer, so 5 stars!!! Will def order from here again!!

This is my favorite place to stop when in the area. Always clean inside and out, food prepared right and never had an issue with the staff they’ve always been courteous and on point. I’m always getting take out but the dining area is always clean and fresh, would eat in if I had the time.

The food is horrible OMG it’s horrible !!!! The little piece of fish I got was burnt fried shrimp was okay the garlic shrimp tastes like it’s been sitting around for a long time the fries taste like they’ve been sitting around all day. Just nasty OMG money down the drain the hush puppies taste like dried up old cornbread. I used to love Captain D’s when it was in KC M O… Fry’s got to be bad lwhen my dog won’t eat them LOL can I get a $10 gift card sent to my house in Texas LOL that’s how bad it is you want to return it. Also I didn’t even get my crackling crumbs WOW!!!. The pictures of the food look better than the food that you get in real life LOL

I love Captain D’s, the northern version is long John silver but they aren’t nearly as good in my opinion. I ate Capt the whole time I was out of town lol. They were clean, fast service tasty food.

It took 20 minutes from the time on my receipt until I got my food. The okra was lukewarm and the beans were meh at best. I’ve eaten there several times and have been very impressed with the service until today.

Where do I start? Let’s start with the newest elderly black female working the Drive-Thru. Today, was like enough is enough! She took my order and after several minutes, I was asked to pull up (no problem) that’s nearly every visit which is 2-3 times a week. While pulled up, I notice a gentleman out front sweeping up trash. He speaks and continues doing his job as he moves towards the Drive-thru window and as I peer out of my side view mirror, I know the worker hands him a Captain D’s bag and he’s coming to my vehicle. When he gets there he tells me, You are lucky today that I’m out here (smiling ). I’m livid because my meal was handed to me to through Drive thru. NOT! Other encounters includes: Fish not grilled throughout (Pink) and SPOILED, and Miss bread on several occasions.
