My sister in law invited us to this restaurant when we had a visit to Florida in November. It was amazing! Me and my husband ordered different food to share with each other. The steak and the pork were very delicious, it just melted in my mouth. Everything was amazing and completed the flavour well.

what an adorable little gem of a place… friendly people, it’s quiet and cozy. Very clean the food was good but I can’t say great. we ordered a wide variety of food, we both got Cubans with extra pickles, they were dry we didn’t get extra pickles, hubby had none, he asked for double meat, they didn’t do double meat, we both got potatoe balls which were pretty good basic but good, he got yellow rice and black beans which was ok.. I got flan he got rice pudding… like I said the food was good, but not what I bragged to my hubby about, I had been there a few years ago. It was better then.

Today, we opted for the sampler (Croquettas, Yuca Fritas, & Tamale). Also had the Saturday special, Churrasco Steak with the usual sides including Cuban toast.
Yes, a lot of food for 2 people, we didn’t leave hungry for sure.

Best Spanish bean soup on the planet!! The place isn’t high on atmosphere, but you can’t eat atmosphere. Whenever I’m in town, my car just naturally pulls into the restaurant. Has been around a long time – unlike most places nowadays. CUBANS, fajitas, yellow rice, black beans – all oh so yummy. Hope to SEE you there… this is one MOM AND POP restaurant absolutely worth its weight in GOLD!

Tonight’s Cuban Crawl took us on a pilgrimage to 15th Street East and Cafe Havana. This place is AWESOME. I wasn’t sure what to expect (based on geolocation assumptions) but everything exceeded our expectations. Space was clean. Service was super friendly, attentive and laid back. Food came out quick. Prices were very fair. Portion sizes were ample. Food was outstanding. If you’re looking for a delicious Cuban sandwich, Cafe Havana is a totally safe bet.

The only reason I’m giving a two is because the server was very sweet. I got chicken soup which came in a small small bowl and ordered a dinner plate that had chicken peppers onions and plantains.. there was no chicken and was almost all veggies. My sweet tea wasn’t really tea it was powered based. The owner was so rude and didn’t smile or nothing. He gave my boyfriend a very nasty look when he walked away. We didn’t get our bread after we order our food we had to wait til our food came to get bread but everyone else that came in got bread while waiting for their order. They are way overpriced and to be honest the food is not all that… must likely will not be coming back.

This is every be much a mom and pop restaurant but don’t let the looks fool you. This was my first time going to a Cuban restaurant and I wasn’t disappointed by the hype around the food. The Cuban Sandwich has a unique yet familiar flavor that almost anyone will love.

Went there with my family to have breakfast and the food was great in some way it reminded me Puertorican breakfast with the stuffed potato (rellenos) their empanada (empanadillas) but best of all was the beef round empanadas that for us is called (pastelillos de carne ) those were really good!! I definitely recommend trying them!
