It’s as the name implies, a cafe. My wife and I ordered food from a very sweet waitress. Wife wanted a burger and a side of onion rings. They don’t have sides of onion rings so she got the appetizer. I asked if their sirloin steak was tender and she said it was. I ordered it medium rare and it was delish and as tender as a sirloin can get. It came with a baked potato and I ordered creamy corn as my other side. It was awesome IMHO. I’d recommend this place for dinner. I wanted try their breakfast but they were closed.

TRUCKERS,,,,Add this joint to your GPS You can get in and out on a 30 minute breake ( Sit down meal, 2 sides, salad,drink for $20 and they send you out with a fresh 32oz of your drink) Don’t miss this place. Yes you can park here while dinning ( just not overnight) if you are parked at Love’s you are close enough to walk, dont eat roller food, get real food! Side salad is very large and less then $4 to add to your meal. Eveeything on the menu is under $15 except the steak which range ($20-30). Cars, well you can come too. This place wont leave you thinking there is no place like home, instead you feel like you just found a second home. They are only closed on four holidays. The prices are close to the 1980’s, the portions are perfect to perfectly large, the place is cleam, the food is great. My biggest decision is how much i can order to take with me. Seriously some things are just such good value like when have you been able to just order a great grill cheese for $3.99……..that would be $6-8 at a truckstop, stale, and you have to heat it.

Very fast and courteous service. My food was served very hot and fresh!! I had a Double Mushroom & Swiss Cheeseburger with Jalapeños and the Homemade Onion Rings. I was joyfully stuffed. What an awesome burger!!! And the onion rings were fabulous!!!!

Visited again after 2 years so updating the review and adding an extra star for the full 5 stars.
We arrived with only 30mins before closing and the staff were happy to seat us, service was efficient and the food was superb, the best American style home style cooking we have had this trip.
Cattleman’s has been renovated since our last visit and the place looks great, as a storm chaser the pictures on the wall were an added bonus.
The chicken friend steak was superb, and genuinely some of the best mash potatoes I have ever had. I sampled some of the pot roast as well and that was also very impressive.
If you’re passing through Liberal ignore the chain places and head to Cattleman’s!
