My husband travels the country for work. So we have eaten at ALOT of places. I’m not being dramatic… this was the best bar food we’ve ever had. The wings were crispy and the pickle brine flavor was outstanding. The flatbread was so good I wanted a second. The sweet potato fries with a marshmallow fluff dipping sauce was GENIUS. We ordered everything on the special menu and right away decided we would be back the next day. A must try!!!!!

I don’t live in CR but my family does.. and we’ve eaten at Parlor City several times over the last couple of years. Out of all the places we frequent in town, Parlor City is one of the best. Their food is consistently good and very fresh. Everything we’ve tried on the menu has been a hit! Service is always fast and pleasant. The atmosphere is social but never too crazy or loud. Definitely worth checking them out!

I ate here on 02/08/2026. It was Super Bowl Sunday, and most of my regular places had lines out the door. This place was suspiciously quiet. While I appreciate the convenient location and the ability to get a table, that is about where the compliments must end. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, with a side of french fries. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Maybe it was just an off day. But let me tell you, this sandwich was among the worst I’ve ever had. Upon ordering, I was asked which kind of BBQ sauce I wanted on my sandwich. I was offered a variety of options, but opted for the “spicy” BBQ sauce, as I enjoy flavor. Upon arrival, I was immediately disappointed at the so-called “brioche” bun that was supposed to be used. It was dry, stale, and reminded me of a store brand plain white hamburger bun you would buy at a discount grocery store chain. The fries were unremarkable in every sense of the word; soggy, and devoid of any potato on the inside. But worst of all, the pulled pork itself was chewy, slimy, and BLAND. And this was supposedly the “spicy” BBQ sauce? It tasted watery and flavorless, like something squeezed out of a tube from a hospital cafeteria. I was floored. For $18 I could have made a dozen of these sandwiches. This place takes advantage of Newbo tourists and naive people who don’t know any better. You can fool them, but you’re not fooling me!

Had my son’s 1st birthday party here in the pavilion room and 10/10 recommend. Everyone was so kind and it was perfect! Amazing food, amazing service and all around went exactly how I imagined 🙂

Every Wednesday dad and I pick some where new to visit. You have guessed it, we stopped here today. We had a great experience. The weather was perfect to have the doors open and the option to sit outside on their patio, which is a nice area. They have a good selection of draft beers and the food was good. Definitely would consider revisiting and recommending. Thank you!

One of the best experiences I ever had at a resto-bar, the drinks were plenty, the food selection was delicious and service was so accommodating!!
I enjoyed their candy cocktails, the bohemian style burger was mouth watering and the Irish cream cake is to die for!!
Would return if just for this bar!!!

We met some old friends there a couple weeks ago while visiting back in Iowa and really enjoyed the food and service. We had a nice table in a window alcove and didn’t feel rushed as we ate and chatted with our friends we hadn’t seen in a few years. Both my husband & I had the tenderloin sandwiches and they were delicious. If we’re back in the Cedar Rapids area again (we’re Iowa natives but live in Arizona now) we would certainly eat at Parlor City Pub again.

A wonderful bar pub to stop in after a hard day at work or sometime on the weekend. Lots of beer choices to choose from, cocktails, wine. An extensive menu. If you are looking for a place to hold a party they have a backroom available for this.

We stopped in for a beer. Vibe is great, selection of beers on tap and cans phenomenal. The bartender provided multiple samples of tap beer. We will definitely return . Cheers

Great waitress & service, but very disappointing visit won’t go back. Have had better, but last 3 visits have been increasingly disappointing.
Food was very greasy (4 napkins for 1 chicken tender greasy.) Food was slightly burnt, oil needed to be changed. Took 39 minutes for a burger & sampler. Fried pickles were so greasy we could not eat them. Burger had no seasoning it tasted like a frozen patty tossed on the grill. Burger was served with fries. Asked for extra crispy fries, came out not cooked all the way. Was very loud. Waitress was very attentive & kind.
On my other recent visit with a group, we reserved the back room. We were told we were bumped into the middle room where we became the walkway for the large party in the back. The doors didn’t stay closed to the back room so no one could hear each other and every 3 minutes someone had to get up and close the door. Food was very disappointing this visit too.
