A friend and I stopped on our way home for dinner. Atmosphere was great and they were able to get us seated and served with chips and salsa quickly. The salsa was on the weak side. Not bad but could have used more seasoning and a little more heat. The meals were delicious and served very timely. Overall a pleasant experience!

The food was great, they have a their style of salsa and it’s really good. Cheese dip is on the thick side. Waiter was very nice but due to language barrier has a misshap with 1 of our orders, fixed it quickly. They also have a ice cream section. The place just needs upgraded seat cushions and some refurbishing. Most inside is same finish and furniture as when it was Ole Charlie’s 15yrs ago.

I had the carnitas and they were extremely greasy, chewy and bland, and the yellow rice that it came with was drowning in the grease from the carnitas. I tried my husband’s fajita trio and we both agreed that it had no flavor to it and definitely needed some seasonings. He also got tired of chewing on the thin slices of steak that it came with before he was able to finally swallow! ♀️ The nachos could have used some salt but the salsa was good. The drinks were not the greatest either. Will not be returning!

Even though we live close by, we never think about eating at 2 Pesos. We didn’t want to drive to our normal Mexican restaurant, so we chose to dine outside at 2 Pesos. It was a bit early for the regular dinner crowd so we were seated promptly. Our drinks and dinner came quickly. Overall, we were satisfied except for the ground beef in the tacos. It had a strange taste. However, the quesadilla, tamale, and my grandson’s grilled cheese was very good. The chips (very thin and crispy) and salsa were perfect. There are area Mexican restaurants that are better but there are many, many more that are far worse.
