I’ve been in Houston for 4 days and tried many Mediterranean and Arab restaurants, and honestly, Kabsah Restaurant is the best one for me. It’s definitely worth the 45 minutes driving.
I’m Iraqi, and I’m very picky when it comes to food. I know the real taste, and I pay close attention to how food is cooked and prepared. Everything here was cooked perfectly, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. For me, this place truly stands out from the rest.
The food alone deserves 5 stars, but what really touched me was the amazing customer service. The two girls who served us were incredibly kind, respectful, and welcoming.
Today we went back again, but unfortunately my brother wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t eat. One of the staff members became concerned because she thought something might be wrong with the food. I explained to her that the food was amazing, but my brother was just sick. Even then, she insisted on packing the food in a to-go box and didn’t want to take money for it, simply because we didn’t eat it.
That moment showed me how much they truly care about their customers. Their goal isn’t just to sell food, but to make sure everyone leaves happy, satisfied, and thankful.
Amazing food, amazing service, and genuine care for customers.
I highly recommend Kabsah Restaurant — I will definitely be coming back again and again every time coming to Houston.

Phenomenal experience, I’ve tried the lamb mandi, chicken kabsah and the pompano fish with saffron rice.
Always, free adani tea ( my favorite ), coffee and lamp soup.

Tasty food, amazing staff, portions are beyond expectations, prices are very reasonable and on top of all that, such a cozy and warm place. Best experience ever. Their traditional dessert is a mut try. Strongly recommend.

Wow! Amazing. The people who worked there were so welcoming. Everything we ordered was delicious! They were even so kind to help us pack up our leftovers since we ordered too much. And give us tips on how to reheat it for maximum tastyness. Even gave us extra of the sauces. Can’t wait to take back people to share the yummy food and great people who work there. Thank you for an enjoyable dinner.

Truly very authentic mandi and kabsa rice. the soup was amazing
the complimentary vimto and orange juice made our iftaar dinner more flavorfull. adani tea and coffee were added convenient for the customers.
unlimited shatta (mandi sauce) and white sauce were the cherry on top.
the quantity of rice and chicken was generous.
overall very nice experience..

I’ve been coming here for the last month and a half and every time, I come I enjoy the food with the same passion as the first time…their lamb soup, which is complementary, is just the best!!!! it hits just the right spot.
All of their plates are large proportion, you can surely share. The prices are so reasonable. The quality is just amazing, my favorite so far is the chicken biryani and lamb fahsa.

My husband took us here after seeing a video online and the food was so good ❤️! We didn’t really know what to order since it was our first time trying yemeni food, but the chicken and rice was so good and flavorful! There were roasted onions and garlic throughout and everything was all just so good! I loved the decor with the little houses on the wall 🙂 very cute!!

Salma was very attentive despite the crowded time of Iftar and checked in with us about the quality and accommodated any requests.
Food was delicious but my favorite was the lamb shank.

Tried Kabsah Restaurant and was blown away by the Lamb Mandi recommended by my server, and she couldn’t have been more right. The lamb was tender, perfectly seasoned, and served over flavorful rice with chili and yogurt sauces on the side. Portions are generous easily enough for two and prices are very reasonable. The menu has a great variety, so I’ll definitely be back to try more. That said, I recommend coming with a group there’s only so much one can eat alone, and you’ll want to sample as much as possible!
