Aloha! Welcome to Jax Wood Fired Pizza. We are a family owned and operated restaurant with two locations on the North Shore of O’ahu – Historic Haleʻiwa Town and Sharks Cove at Pūpūkea. Our mission is to serve people ‘ono food, exceptional hospitality, and share the love of Jesus to our local community. At Jax, we serve family-style Neapolitan sourdough pizza. Every pie is crafted on our house sourdough, made fresh daily, and is baked in our Kiawe wood-fired oven. Jax at Haleʻiwa Town is our original location where our family’s dream began. We were so hungry after driving all day and didn’t know what we wanted.
Saw this place and decided on pizza.
We were walmly greeted as soon as we walked in.
We got there at the perfect time for a lunch special, which was a surprise. Our $20.95 pepperoni pizza was $12.99.
We got a cheese and garlic pizza too.
The pizza base was perfect the taste was spot on and the service amazing.
Its clear the staff live and breathe the JAX story,
I love that they have a story.

We arrived here for our dinner after a long day in Haleiwa. They are run by Danzik family and started this in 2019. Their pizza base is sour dough which is a unique thing. We got da kine pizza with mixed greens salad. We were welcomed with a warm greeting and felt a special aloha all around. The pizza was tasty – the kalua pork topping worked well with cheese and tomato base. The salad dressing had a subtle tang to it which we absolutely loved. There are not a lot of seats as it is a small spot – so seating will be tricky. We were lucky to find one open spot. In sum, we had a good dinner and left with happy tummies.

I came from Atlanta to Hawaii for vacation and visited this place for some Hawaiian pizza. This place was a 20 out of 10. Everything and everyone was great. The owner, Gabe, was also a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus. He displayed the love and faithfulness of the Lord Jesus while being professional and caring. I encourage all people (especially believers) to visit this place. The fellowship and the food is great. May the Lord continue to bless this place and all the workers.

Such a great experience, and amazing pizza! We ordered the Meat Lovers pizza, and it was super delicious and flavorful. We also ordered a Coke, but they were having a small issue with their soda machine at the time. They kindly offered us another drink in the meantime and brought our Coke over shortly after it was fixed.

Being far from New York City, I was seriously missing a good slice—and then I stumbled upon JAX Pizza during a day trip to North Shore. I nearly died of happiness!
JAX serves some of the freshest pizza I’ve had in a long time, made with premium ingredients you can really taste. The dough is what really sets it apart—perfectly crispy-textured with a depth of flavor that immediately made me curious about the flour. When I asked the owner Gabriel about it, he explained that the flour is imported from Italy and made with a 25-year-old starter, giving it that incredible sourdough character. I was genuinely impressed that a local, family-owned spot is putting out such artisanal, craft pizza—honestly better than what I’ve had in many New York neighborhoods.
Looking around their shop, I loved that the care and love extend beyond the food, but that it’s clear how invested they are in their community—serving veteran and autistic communities and teaching them how to make pizza. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, making a real effort to connect with customers rather than just rush orders out.
If JAX had a location in New York City, I’d be there every week. If you’re passing through the North Shore and craving truly excellent pizza, this place is an absolute must-visit!

What truly sets this place apart, though, is the customer service. Zerrin is outstanding — always smiling, genuinely welcoming, and constantly going above and beyond to make sure every guest has an amazing experience. His energy, attention to detail, and kindness elevate the entire restaurant. Any restaurant would be lucky to have someone like him on their team.

The sharks Cove location is so delightful. I have been to Oahu six times and I wish I went here the first time. Already planning to come back tomorrow. Food is delicious. I can confidently say this is the best Woodfire pizza on the island and even the best customer service on the island.

The pizza is delicious and everyone has a genuine smile on their face when you walk in. Maps said there was gonna be traffic on the way over and I thought about going elsewhere but I’m so happy I kept going, it’s just what I needed

Hands down the best pizza at North Shore! The crust is perfectly fresh and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The toppings are fresh and generous, special mention fresh spicy jalapeno. The staff is friendly and service is always prompt. Highly recommend Jax Pizza for a delicious meal. Jax have vegan options too.

If you are thinking about trying out Jax, stop thinking and just go. They were very friendly and the service was super fast. We arrived around 7pm on a Friday night and someone was ordering when we walked in. There were also a couple of tables waiting for their food spreads so I expected at least a 30 minute wait, but it was maybe 10 or 15 at the very most. We ordered 2 pizzas and the goat cheese honey bread sticks (sounds questionable but they are amazing!!). My pizza came out before the bread sticks which I thought odd, but wasn’t a big deal because it all came out within minutes of each other. The ingredients are fresh and definitely taste like high quality ingredients; particularly the cheese. These pizzas definitely rivaled any pizza we had while in Europe and Italy. The only reason for 1 star removed is because they are a little pricey. But it’s completely on par with most Hawaii pricing. We didn’t try the cannoli, but only because we said we will order it next time we will go. So even though it’s pricey, we will absolutely go back! Wanted to add after telling husband I was leaving a review- he said that the customer service is the best we’ve seen in the island. The gentlemen helping us seemed truly happy to have us visit. They truly seemed like some of the most genuine people on the island!
