Serving BBQ the old fashion way, the meat is hand-trimmed right before your eyes. Thick, thin, sliced or chopped, it’s your call! The vegetables are freshly prepared home-style each day. A real taste treat passed down through generations.

Worst dinner in a long time
The ribs were dry. The sliced brisket was ripped apart. Cuz, it was overdone.
Could not even chew the ribs
Horrible experience never going back again.
The meat was luke warm when it was served. I’ve had better tasting pulled pork and brisket back in Oz. Had to mix the BBQ sauces into the meat to give it some flavour. You pay extra for the brisket… Had the 3 meat and 2 sides. BBQ beans and Jalapeno Mash potatoes were very good.
Nice free ice cream cone to finish off.
Nice that you can get ice cream for free with a meal, and there’s options for the sauces.
However, being a Texas BBQ place, I was looking forward to the brisket, which ended up being quite bland (they opened up a plastic wrapper to cut it, so it didn’t seem to have come right out of the smokehouse when we went there).
The pulled pork was kind of dry and there were flies near the brewed tea station.
A few hours after, I was getting pretty bad reflux. Toast was super salty.
The staff was kind. Not rude, just a bit indifferent. It was affordable.
Looking at other reviews, maybe we came a bit too late at 6pm on a Sunday?
Came back to Cecil’s again recently and feel like maybe I’m the one who changed. It feels the same, but the quality isn’t what I remember. The sides feel kind of half assed, but the meat was good. The macaroni and cheese specifically tasted like it was made three days prior and just reheated over and over. There was no life in it.
Cafeteria style bbq can be good when done correctly. If your a law enforcement officer, you might like this place because everything is done in front of you. If you are not a law enforcement officer, you may not like it because you have to serve yourself.
Also, someone stole my drink cup. We have no idea who did it. Who does that?
