Got a spicy chicken sandwhich. Got home and realized they gave me BONE IN on my sandwich. It looked so gross and had almost no edible meat on it. Will be contacting corporate to complain and request a refund.

I placed an app order 30 mins before I arrived because I figured they would be busy on a Sunday. I order 5 pieces of chicken a side and 2 biscuits. I get there and the lady tells me the order is not ready and to park. Ok cool. 20 mins go by and they cleared the entire drive thru so I go inside and ask about my order and they had the order slip and asked the 2 young men in the back how long would it be on classic chicken .. she came back and told me it would be another 15 mins. She offered me alternatives that I did not want. I just wanted my order at this point. I just wanted my FIVE pieces of chicken. So the lady with no teeth tried to offer me something for free for the wait, at that point I just wanted a refund. She told me I would have to go through the app to get a refund. An hour later and no chicken, my order was not ready. Unacceptable. I frequent this location, but lately they have been slipping and the service is trash. I will not be coming back to this location.

On Saturday, I visited the Popeyes in Lake St. Louis and had one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant. I ordered the $6 box. The previous day I had ordered the same thing and received dark meat, so I assumed it would be the same. When I opened the box and saw a breast, I asked the employee if it was possible to get dark meat instead.

Instead of simply assisting, he turned to a coworker and said, “He didn’t tell us he wanted dark meat.” I explained that I hadn’t requested it this time because I received it the day before, but I just preferred the smaller, dark-meat pieces. He then told me I would have to wait 12 minutes for dark meat with no other options.

On top of that, the drink I thought came with the meal didn’t, so I paid an additional amount for a regular soda. Since I didn’t want to wait 12 minutes, I asked for a refund. That’s when the situation went completely downhill.

The employee’s tone and attitude were unnecessary and rude. After I asked for the refund, he told me to pull forward. When he came to the door, he asked if I still wanted the drink. I told him no and that I wanted the entire order refunded. His response was dismissive and irritated, and he implied that I was “mad” for having to wait — when all I asked for was my money back.

Things escalated when he made a smart remark. At that point, I stepped out of the car and told him to please just refund my money. He then told me he would not refund me unless I got back in my car, which was extremely disrespectful. I am not a dog, and I don’t have to “go get in the car” for him to process a refund.

He then threatened to call the police. I told him he could go ahead because I had done nothing but ask for my money. When he spoke to the police, even the officer seemed confused because he kept asking if I had done anything wrong, and the employee kept saying “no.”

This employee — the manager on duty, a tall, light-skinned man with the last name Hall — then held my card hostage, refusing to return it or process the refund until police arrived. When he finally returned my card, he still refused to do the refund, walked to the back of the store, and started sweeping as if nothing was happening. I had to repeatedly ask him what was going on while he ignored me.

This behavior was unprofessional, uncalled for, and absolutely unacceptable — especially coming from a manager. Every time I’ve visited this location there has been some level of rudeness, but this encounter was by far the worst. When asked for upper management – His response I don’t have to give that to you.

No customer should ever be spoken to this way, threatened with police over a refund, or have their card withheld. This needs to be addressed immediately.

Chicken sandwich was good, tenders were fishy smelling and thin. All fries were stal,thin and very crunchy on gums. Sweet tea wasn’t very sweet….always a 50/50 shot with sky Popeyes in the area but I’m again mostly disappointed by this location.

Consistent good food, friendly cashier, and quick service. One small mishap tonight out of last 20 visits being error free, and the manager made it right. Quickly. I’ll be back and I appreciate the customer service. ❤️

I did a pick up order of just 2 biscuits to go with my meal at home. I ordered on January 6, 2026 at 8:40. I came to the drive thru and gave my name and I guess when the two young men saw my order they just thought it was hilarious that I only ordered two biscuits so they started laughing and said come around. We come around and the two young men one dread head and the other with a short fade both look into my car and start laughing again…then the guy comes to the window being extremely rude and sarcastic laughs and says anything else with this order. My husband was so upset he wanted almost went inside and went off because they were being so immature and rude. Grow upp and do your job.

This place needs to shut down, consistently bad service. Go to the one on HWY K if you’re really wanting Popeyes.

Waited 30 minutes for food, got regular strips when I asked for spicy and gave me 0 condiments after I asked.

I will be going to HWY K from now on.

I’ve been here midday and lunch. I have found the staff to be friendly and fast. The drive thru is quite busy. However, the dining room is empty. The staff took a minute to chat while working and still serviced the drive thru well. It was a pleasant experience overall.

I assume no one of any responsibility actually operates the store, it looks clean outside, but you can barely see through the windows of the drive-through because they’re so disgusting.

I pulled up at 10:40, according to Google. The store has been open since 10 AM. That’s 40 minutes. I’m in the drive-through for almost 10 minutes circled twice trying to locate anyone who works inside the store to get their attention. Finally, a young man opens the window and asked if could if he can help.

I said yes I’ve been sitting at the drive-through and he said well we just opened, clearly he’s lying and they’re just goofing off and not actually taking their job serious because if I was 40 minutes late, I would be fired. To pull back around a place an order, but at this point, I don’t trust what they would do to my food.
