Ordered the medium Shakey’s supreme for $21.29 plus tax. They also had the happy hour specials from 2 to 5, Monday through Friday so got the garlic cheese bread for $3.99 The food was delicious!
Chill vibe with a lot of seating and an arcade.
We parked in the street in front of restaurant, but noted a parking lot along the side of the restaurant
It’s nothing fancy, but it’s definitely worth it. This isn’t a gourmet place. This isn’t a hole in the wall. It’s just a place to get mojo potatoes from your childhood, a few slices of pizza, and a salad for less than $15. What a deal!
Honestly, for the value you get here based on the price that you’re paying, this is one of the best lunch deals in town.
This spot is great for kids, lots of open table seating, good for local office workers in the area, and a low end place for tourists to visit.
Fried chicken, baked chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, mojo potatoes, steamed vegetables (previously frozen), and pizza. Lots of pizza. Smores pizza, Hawaiian, pepperoni, veggie, sausage, it’s all great.
The salad bar is great too. It’s Iceberg lettuce, and you can add all kinds of stuff to it like carrots, red cabbage, artichokes, olives, hot peppers, bell peppers. There’s also about four or five different kinds of dressing as well including italian, blue cheese, Ranch, Thousand Island, Etc.
5 stars? Yes. This isn’t the usual type of place that I go to. But in a crunch, or just when you want to reminisce about your childhood this place does what it does best. Good food, inexpensive, baked fresh right in front of you. Trying to find these old school buffets keeps getting harder and harder every year. So I’m glad this one is still around.
We ordered a combo – a white, thin crust pizza with basil, southern fried chicken and Mojos. I haven’t had fried chicken in over 6 years and I’d have to say, it was moist and seasoned well. Nothing was overcooked or dry. I like the thin breading they use. The Mojos are delicious. The perfect thickness for a nicely seasoned potatoes. They are lightly crispy on the outside with tender potato on the inside. The white pizza was the perfect size. The crust was super light, crispy and I just loved the texture. Best thing about all this – it didn’t upset my stomach! Super happy. All in all, a nice, old school treat when you want something vintage to bring you back to the pizza parlor/arcade days or even for a light cheat day!
