Food was not great. I asked for no pickles i my burger and I got pickles. I asked for mashed potatoes and was given my friends fries. My mash was on her bill and drowned in black pepper. Things were chaotic and the food was bad. High price for what was obviously a frozen patty and not fresh meat. Minimal amount of mash and fries. Not impressed. Not coming back.

As a Chicagoan this place definitely made me feel at home. The 90s Ladies country music playlist had me singing along the entire time. Cheyenne was an incredible server, very attentive and friendly and even gave us a few recommendations to check out during our trip! Highly recommend stopping by for a delicious burger!

Our experience was okay.

We loved that the employees were actually American and very friendly and talkative.

The interior was okay but didn’t scream American diner to me. The toilets were kinda gross and the floors SO sticky.

The food was alright but nothing special considering the prices. I liked the waffles and hashbrowns, the burger was okay, I didn’t like the vegan pancakes or the chicken – it was very dry and sweet.

The drinks are WAY too overpriced – a glass of juice cost nearly the same as the entire meal. When I asked for a glass of tap water, this cost money too because they add ice.

Service and atmosphere was really nice and good. Pancakes were ok though bit burned which isn’t really good and the biggest minus is that they don’t even do actual maple syrup. It’s maple syrup mixed with something else and you can barely even taste it.

I cook BBQ. While I’m no KCBS pit boss I know good enough to know good from bad. First the BBQ at this place is not cooked in a smoker. Strike 1. Strike 2 is the hide this by drowning the meat in sauce and then cooking that on a grill which caramelised the meat into a chewy something. Any any BBQ place that is new to me I try the pulled pork. It’s one of the easier cuts to smoke. Since they don’t actually smoke the meat and because they meat was tough and chewy I can’t recommend this place.

I hope everyone who is raving about this place can come to Kansas City or my home town of Denver and try real BBQ. That being said I don’t regret my decision to try it. It was a good data point for comparison. Just glad I didn’t go for the brisket at $50. Again if you can’t get pulled pork right you have no hope of doing brisket.

Amazing little place!!! Best breakfast I’ve had all holiday; we got the B.E.C. Sandwich and chicken and waffles. Both exceptional!

The ladies serving were so lovely and smiley, the whole place felt like a big hug!

I wish i had time to go again!!!

So good that I visited it twice, and would have gone back again if time permitted.
Fantastic location. I definitely recommend sitting outside if weather permits.
Staff were friendly and excellent with service.
Food came rather quickly, and was very tasty.
Soda – a large is indeed a large! Loved it!
I would definitely recommend this place!

For what it was, it was ok. I think if you are craving for some american style restaurant, you can’t go wrong.

The milkshake/freakshake was good and also filled with lots of additional sweets. The burger looked better than it tasted, but it wasn’t bad just bland. The mac & cheese I liked, but I have no comparison counter part here.

The staff, while super friendly and chatty, seemed a bit unhelpful for some situations. Not holding the door open for a family with kids wagon was a strange sight.

Still, the atmosphere was good, but it’s best to paint one’s own picture.

This fun American diner was an unexpected treat! Great comfort food, well made. I had a hearty grilled cheese & tomato soup… hit the spot on this extremely cold day. Cheyenne took great care of us – she is delightful! Highly recommend if you’re looking for an alternative to classic Danish fare.

You could assume from the location that this would be one of those tourist traps, since it’s right in a nice square. But the food is great, the service is fast and friendly, so there’s really no downside here. Highly recommended.
