Blue Ember Smoke House is a small chain of 6 BBQ restaurants scattered across western Arkansas. This one in Ft. Smith has a slightly higher rating on Google as of today. Conveniently located just a few blocks south of Highway 22 (Rogers Ave.).
Big clean bright modern restaurant inside. Order at the counter, fetch your own drink and tableware. An assortment of BBQ sauce is available. Pump what you want in a little cup to take back to the table. Your food is delivered to your table.
I had a turkey sandwich. Good smokey moist turkey. Slaw and beans on the side. Beans fair. Slaw was a pass. If you want jalapeno and onion, be sure to mention it at the counter when you order. My wife had the Fort Chaffee Salad. A fruity salad with candied pecans. She added the same smoked turkey. Over all a 4-star experience.
Nice place, decent BBQ, but doesn’t have that down home country BBQ joint feel.

I gave 4 stars because they were out of chicken. I can’t eat beef or pork, but they had turkey which turned out to be really good. I didn’t expect it. The servers were great and the atmosphere was perfect. It was absolutely a good time with my kiddo. After we ate, we e got ice cream. Hahaha. I only got pics of the ice cream. lol.

I was totally impressed with this contemporary and clean BBQ restaurant, not to mention I love the name!
I went in for a late bite of dinner as I wanted a quick bite but nothing too heavy. I ordered a lean brisket sandwich. The staff member sliced it right in front of me.
I found a variety of sauces available. Some BBQ places are stingy with their sauce – not here. There were small serving cups to use. I took a sample of each flavor. I filled my drink and found a table.
The brisket was visually appetizing. There was a nice smoke ring, as those that cook it tell me is important. The meat was moist and tasty. I enjoyed all three variety of BBQ sauces.
While I only had the brisket sandwich, I will certainly look forward to another trip back to this restaurant for additional menu items!

The food not to bad above average far as meat go they sell everything by the pound there is no combo plates strictly by the pound so I order 1/2 pound of brisket 1/2 pound of ribs 1/2 pound of sausage bake bean and my girlfriend got 1/2 pound of briskets bake beans and macaroni and potatoes plus 2 drinks total 75.00
I think all the meat is $35.00 a pound hopefully they can stay in business

I’ve been here several times and the food is always consistently delicious. I’m hooked on the brisket. If you ever try the brisket be sure to ask for the juicy brisket. It’s well worth it. Their Mac and cheese is always fresh and creamy the way I like it.

So, my wife and I stopped in after hunting for a BBQ spot close to us while we’re were in FT. Smith. We tried it.. and wow!! I had the pulled pork sandwich with fried okra and BBQ baked beans.. DELICIOUS!!! My wife had the loaded baked potato(pulled pork) and the beans. All great food. For both us to eat it only ran $25!! The environment us light and airy… modern contemporary fixtures, and high class decor. When we pulled up we thought for sure we’d break the bank… but it wS surprisingly affordable. We have one closer to home in Rogers… I will definitely visit that location!!!

I had never heard of Blue Ember before, and the parking lot was packed. Figured it was worth trying out.

Got pork, sausage, baked potato, and mac n cheese. The seasoning on the pork was great. The sausage was decent. Not my favorite, but not the worst. Baked potato and mac were just ok. You can probably tell from the photo, nothing special.

My gripe is the price. What is pictured, plus a drink, was 27ish dollars. For 1 person. I was ok, but definitely not that good.

Fast, fresh and delicious BBQ in a fast casual setting. Brisket sandwich was moist and juicy, buns are soft and delicious and meat is well seasoned. Loaded baked potato was big, plenty of toppings and was cooked fully so the inside was fluffy as it should be. Chicken sandwich was some of the best, most juicy pulled chicken I’ve had. Also tried the three cheese sausage which was also delicious. Sampled all sauces and no complaints here. Could have another sauce or two just for variety but again, no complaints. Only downside is that the fries were on the cold side. Otherwise perfect experience. Will be back.
