I was really disappointed with the cake I ordered from this bakery. I specifically requested a Colombian “torta negra envinada” and I made it very clear that I wanted it to have the traditional flavor and be moist.

Unfortunately, what I received was dry, hard, and tasted nothing like torta negra envinada at all. It honestly felt like a regular plain cake with frosting, not what I ordered. The texture was dense and stale, and it ruined a special moment since it was for my partner.

When I called to explain the issue, I was told there was nothing they could do over the phone and that the only option was for me to bring the cake back and then they would “see what they could do.” I found that response very unhelpful considering the product was clearly not what I ordered.

Overall, I expected better quality and customer service. I would not recommend ordering a specialty cake from here.

Ordered takeout from here recently.

Tried a lot of items, mixed reviews but overall good experience.

Guava turnover and tres leches were both stale, but the dulce churro was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Good bandeja, pretty standard.

They just sent me the MOST vile servings of flan I’ve ever seen in my life. It looks and smells like scrambled eggs. Merry Christmas to Uber cause I only got 10 bucks back.

I gave this place one more chance and I promise I will never spend another dollar here! First time they totally ignored me and took other customers. Totally dis regarded me. I thought maybe bc they were busy.. The second time I went it was empty, someone comes up to help. I told them what I wanted. I ask for sauce they ignore me. I must have asked 4 times. Ignored! It’s literally pouring down outside . They handed my food in my hand. I asked for a bag, they say they don’t have any. I’m like lady it’s pouring raining then all of a sudden they bring me a bag. I honestly feel they discriminate against non speaking Spanish people. As long as I live in the area I will never spend another dime here.I run a cafe and this type of service is truely disheartening and unacceptable.
Please note if you don’t speak Spanish they will discriminate against you!

Love this bakery, been coming here for years. The food is always fresh and hot. Best deditos con queso around. Love having breakfast here, the carne asada with huevos pericos and arepa con queso is the best in Elizabeth and the waitresses are very nice and helpful.

Honestly, I’ve been coming here for YEARS. And it’s sad to see how bad the quality of service and atmosphere has gone down. I came on a Thursday afternoon around 1 pm. Absolutely empty, and it took them forever to bring out my drink, and the food took even longer. Some of the stuff i ordered was already there in the display but for some reason they didn’t give it to me until i requested it again. I hope the do something about the workers and service here soon because it will hurt them drastically.

10/10 croissants and pan de bono. I always get a chicharrón to go and it’s always a good stop. Never fails and they’re open late!
