Used to be a good place to eat. We would go twice a week. But it has really gone downhill as far as food quality and cleanliness. There are definitely better places to eat and MUCH cleaner. Last time we suffered and went, you could tell. Walked right in and sat down, main dinning area completely empty and bar area had maybe six people. Not a good sign.

For the order, we had:
1) Fajitas for Two
2) Salsa and Chips
3) Chili Con Queso with Brisket
4) Frozen Margaritas
The Food – 5 Stars:
The fajitas were seasoned really well and had plenty of tortillas. The variety of salsa was great! Oh, and the margaritas were amazing!
The Service – 3 Stars:
Service was attentive (though nothing outstanding), especially compared to other reviewers. We had refills of drinks and chips promptly and food was delivered quick.
The Price – 2 Stars:
In general, a little on the high but you do get a lot of food for the price. For example, Fajita for Two was $32.
The Vibes – 4 Stars:
The restaurant is the quintessential Tex-Mex with spacious booths and wonderfully decorated.
Overall, rounding up to 4 stars. Anyone visiting the local State Park down the street should stop in after a hike and get some grub.

I have been going to Ernesto’s for several years. My daughter had dance class in the same complex, She danced while I ate and had a margarita. The staff knew my order by heart. We went there for dinner one night (it had been months since my daughter stopped dancing) and the staff remembered me and asked why I didn’t come in as often. Wonderful place.

Food was great, but the service completely ruined the experience. Our waitress Aylin spent more time on her phone than at our table and only checked on us once the entire meal. We had to wait a long time to get refills, silverware, and even the check. For the price we paid, I expected at least decent customer service. It was honestly one of the worst service experiences I’ve had.

Amazing!! The tacos had so much meat, the enchiladas were stuffed, and the tenderloin was a great size! The rice was also good, but their guacamole was amazing as well! The chicken wasn’t dry at all, and the tacos were sooo delicious, it’s seriously must try.

Ordered chili relleno with beef w cheese rice and beans. Anyone who eats rellenos knows that they are deep fried and either queso or ranchero sauce comes on top. I got queso like substance. The relleno was clearly microwaved as it was all soggy and the ground beef inside was NOT fresh but thawed and the runway of cheese was not melted. The rice tastes like uncle been microwave 2 minutes rice. The beans albeit prob canned tasted fine. WHEN AN EATERY MICROWAVES food instead of making it fresh Please Tell Your Customers. Our total meal with tip was $53 I could have done this myself at home for less. We’ve eaten at Ernesto’s in Prosper many times ordering fajitas. Had I know other items were not fresh I would have stuck with the fajitas. WARNING THE FOOD IS NOT AUTHENTIC NOR FRESH! Too bad, truly disappointed. And the queso WHAT is this thick fluff of goo you call cheese?

I love their salsa, and usually live the food, but today was the exception. I ordered the platter. Most of it was good except for the quesadilla. It was barely brown, very bland on the inside. The worst part of my visit was the dirty table. Soem girls sitting a few booths away exvlaimed how dirty their table was, that there was rice and food debris on it. Then I looked at my table and was very disgusted. There was caked on food and grime on the table. When the front of the restaurant is dirty, it makes you wonder what the kitchen looks like. I don’t think I’ll eat here again.
