After checking out the Harley-Davidson museum I needed a nice meal and a couple drinks.

It was not crowded at all during my lunch hour visit and everyone was so friendly. The BBQ sampler was really good. The brisket was absolutely perfect. I ordered a couple drinks and they were good. The make a good Old Fashioned, but the glass was barely half full. Not much of an issue but I see almost every bar doing that nowadays.

Do not skip out on this restaurant if you’re checking out the museum!

We visited Milwaukee for the first time in our lives and of course went to the Harley-Davidson Museum. After exploring the museum and picking up some souvenirs, we stopped by the Motor Bar for a bite to eat. That evening, they happened to be filming a pilot episode of the radio program “Marquette Thursdays.” Players and representatives of the Marquette Golden Eagles basketball team were taking part in the show. We had no idea — it was our first day in the city, and we simply wanted to have dinner.

The restaurant was about 98% full, and of course we didn’t have a reservation. But the host, Anna, still managed to find us a table! She was incredibly polite and welcoming. When the servers were overwhelmed because the restaurant was packed, Anna stepped in — she took our order, brought our drinks, and made us feel as if we were guests in her own home. Truly exceptional service, absolutely outstanding.

And at the end of our meal, we learned that Anna wasn’t a host or a server at all — she was the general manager! We’ve visited 45 states and probably a hundred restaurants, and nowhere have we experienced hospitality like this. Well, there was one place in San Francisco — but that was a Michelin-starred restaurant, and we paid around $2,500 for five people.

Nice place next to the museum to enjoy burgers and drinks
Tried the beef burger and it was just great
Juicy and tender with nice flavour of meat and mild spice

It was a truly wonderful experience dining at your establishment. The culinary creations were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly service made the evening even more enjoyable. I must also express my delight in the unique ambiance, particularly the captivating sound of the Harley engines. Thank you for a memorable and satisfying visit.

Hard to describe this place.
People saying food is good and I can’t argue that. Food is okay but man, it’s way overpriced!
Overall experience was quite bad and not because of food, but because of the prices and of that awkward feeling you get knowing you’re going to be ripped off and can’t do nothing about it.
There are lots of good places in Milwaukee so would strongly suggest to avoid this one.
Also: inside the restaurant place itself is not really clean and that will affect the whole overpriced experience.
P.S.: if you must go, try to stay on the terrace if the weather allows it

Was there for lunch on 2/27. It was not terribly busy, so no aspect of our visit was “hectic”. It took a few minutes to get seated, despite the empty tables, as the two persons serving as greeters/ hostesses seemed reluctant to go clear a dirty table by the window for us. After we got a table, the level of service was exceptional. Our server (Bella) was there as soon as we sat down, and was friendly, engaging, and professional. (If we’re being honest, kind of a stark difference from the greeters.) Our orders did not take long to arrive, although one was not completely correct. Bella recognized the mistake before we did & fixed it before we had a chance to mention it to her. Food arrived at the table hot & was very good. Both the atmosphere & the food were very good, but the friendly vibe brought by Bella made for a really fantastic meal. She is an absolute asset to that operation.

Cool looking place but disappointing. Poor food quality, especially for the price. Nachos were bland and there was more sour cream than cheese. Cheese curds were served cold and tasted bad. Service was blah at best. We left after trying the appetizers and decided to eat elsewhere

The food was really good and the service and atmosphere was great. Love the view outside. It’s right next to the Harley Davidson Museum and I enjoyed seeing all the motorcycles coming in and out and revving their engines. Down to earth atmosphere and casual dress.

Stopped here prior to our visit of the museum. Our waitress was very pleasant and very busy. I ordered the smoked brisket sandwich. The brisket was dry, tough, and didn’t really have any smoky flavor. I would likely order a burger if I came back.

MOTOR Bar and Restaurant is a great place to go for food and entertainment!!! As an appetizer we had the brisket nachos. All the ingredients were fresh and chips were crunchy not soggy. Delicious. My first dish was the Bold BLT sandwich. It had such a great bacon texture. All the ways anyone likes bacon crunchy bacon and softer bacon it was a sandwich of bacon greatness. Served with fries and coleslaw of course. The second dish was the BBQ Plate. Brisket BBQ Pork BBQ Chicken and Hot links served with cornbread baked beans coleslaw and side of house bbq sauce. All the meats were cooked to perfection. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great filling meal at a good price.
