I had a tension headache when I came in so I couldn’t enjoy the food like “normal” without one. This was my first time here for lunch and I have to say the large fish and hushpuppies I had did help ease it up. From whatever “average” is to people though, the slaw tasted a little off to me. Maybe because it’s not soaking in mayo or other sauce people use to make it.

Recently dined at this well established eatery in Rogers, AR. I have not been here in around 20 years. We had a party of 8 with 2 children. It was 4:00 pm and they continued to run a lunch special for $9.99 and allowed us to order it.
The catfish was thick and meaty, fried crisp in clean grease and very tasty. Fries were thick cut and delicious, tomato relish was wonderful and the beans were spot on perfect. As a cole slaw lover I wish there was a little more seasoning in this side but not a deterrent from all the wonderful food we partook of.
Aside from the food the service was above and beyond excellent. Drinks were filled quickly, we were asked if we needed anything and our requests were filled immediately and with a friendly attitude. I have been wanting to try this place again and I’m glad I did. There’s a reason they have been there for decades…good food and good service. Large portions which gave us enough to take home for a second meal.
Give it a try if you like fried catfish with all the fixings. One of the best places around and a local favorite.

We come for catfish pretty often, most times we get our meal to go but sometimes we like to dine in. Unfortunately, Mr John would be disappointed in his staff. The fish was ok, not the norm but they were a bit busy, not a full house by any means. Their beans which are my favorite, tasted burnt. Still I don’t say a word.
The service is/was unacceptable and apparently tolerated. I read reviews before posting my own because I figured it was just me. They seemed bothered by taking my order, when you walk in, not from the table, I was made aware of that. Weird? No plates were given with our meal, no refills on drinks, no one came to the table after the meal was served. I spoke to one of the wait staff as there were 4 of them all chatting.
The restaurant is in bad need of cleaning. Food on walls and pictures covered in??
The prices have increased but definitely not service.

This is the best catfish in Northwest Arkansas. Good price and excellent food. The staff are super friendly. Highly recommended we been here many times and we loved the food.
Update: May 2, 2025 Drove all the way from Arlington, Texas to eat in our favorite catfish. Almost closing time we get here but little disappointed the coleslaw is taste horrible been in the freezer uncovered not good anymore and the catfish is very small pieces not like in the picture. But always good

Catfish fried to perfection. And, the best Hushpuppies I’ve ever had. Excellent flavor with a light airy inside and crispy outside. Not your standard grease balls. If I didn’t eat anything else I could eat a plate of them alone!

Visited here while on a business trip to Bentonville and it was delicious! I live in the West Coast now and haven’t had catfish fry and real hush puppies in years. Tasted just like Easter Sunday fish fry.

They have really good catfish. Shrimp is really good. It’s not rubbery, everything is really great. Very good.

Amazing … Southern Style Catfish … my family has been eating here for a few years. Ive never finished a plate yet. Fresh cooked to order nothing stale or old, if you’re looking for home cooked catfish with all the trimmings this is the Place !

As a northerner, anytime we head south we look for a place just like this. The fish was so light you could barely believe it was fried in oil. Perfect fries, delicious beans and coleslaw. GREEN TOMATO RELISH………DROOLING!! Staff was lovely. Grabbed coconut cream pie AND chocolate cream pie for the road. Great atmosphere too. Absolute gem.
