The Real Review
Wow, where do I even start with Wayne’s Drive In in Lawton, Oklahoma?
Let’s Give them a REAL review …
This place is an absolute gem, old school drive in vibes that take you straight back to the good ol’ days, but with food that’s on another level.
I mean, if you’re comparing it to Sonic (which is just down the road), Wayne’s is easily ten times better. No exaggeration.
The service is friendly and fast, the atmosphere is nostalgic, and the food? Straight fire.
I went for the bacon cheeseburger, and let me tell you, it was perfection on a bun.
The patty was juicy and cooked just right, not greasy, but full of flavor.
Fresh toppings all the way, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, melty cheese, and thick cut bacon that added the perfect smoky crunch.
The bun was soft and toasted, holding everything together without falling apart.
Everything tasted so fresh, like it was made from quality ingredients right there on the spot.
I couldn’t ask for a better burger, seriously, this thing ruined me for fast food chains.
And don’t get me started on the fries.
Golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, the kind that make you want to order extras just to savor them.
Paired with a cold soda, it was the ultimate drive in meal.
Prices are reasonable too, especially for the portion sizes and quality you get.
Lawton locals probably know all about it but if your in town visiting or you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out.
Wayne’s Drive In shuts it down when it comes to classic American eats.
The real deal is in the building, five stars all the way! I’ll be back soon.
Highly recommend!

They were fast with getting our food out. The food was delicious. Very vintage which I love. Onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had

The very first & old school classic local drive in Wayne’s Drive Inn in Lawton Oklahoma!
The people of Wayne Drive Inn food, really know how to make good burgers Hot Dogs, Pizza, and shakes and drinks as well.
The place needs to be a little bit more updated on today’s fast food restaurants like adding a touch screen with a tap system and better speakers., but keep on making great delicious. Local food.
Sonic’s and got nothing on Wayne!

Definitely not as good food as used to be. I have tried to grab a burger there or something for the past 25 years every time I’m in Lawton. The hamburger patties are so thin now. So I’ve always enjoyed the other items they are known for. It’s a hit and miss. Almost too many items on the menu now. I understand to each his own however I know after my last visit yesterday I’m not going to try eat there. I hate to say that. A lot of good memories tho eating there with friends and family after a day on Lawtonka or just out farting around. Even Elvis ate there back in the day. I’m sure you know the story if you’re even reading this post. I hate to say goodbye to Wayne’s but I’ll still try to grab a chocolate malt when I’m passing through.

Good food, and fast service.
Food was similar to something you’d get at a classic American diner. Went around 12:30 during lunch service, and was able to get my food within 10min. The price was also relatively cheap, Soo I had no problems tipping the server.

Flip Out
Wayne’s has been a classic drive-in that continues to stand the test of time. I was very glad to introduce Mrs. Flip Out to Wayne’s several years ago and it’s just fun to go. Wayne’s still has the BEST Dr. Pepper anywhere, and I don’t know why anyone drinks anything other than Dr. Pepper, but people tell me the other sodas are great, too. The menu is full of drive-in classics, and this visit we got Little Flip Out a corndog kids meal. Mrs. Flip Out got a bacon cheeseburger. They enjoyed their meal and it should be noted that the onion rings are great, too! Littlest Flip Out also had a hamburger. If you’re looking for a classic drive-in around Lawton, give Wayne’s a try!

Our whole family loved Wayne’s!! After a long day, we decided to try Wayne’s for the first time. My husband was so unsure about it that we almost left, I’m so glad we didnt!! My kids are notoriously picky and they ate every bite of the meals from Wayne’s! My little one RAVED about the cute little car box for his food. My husband and teenager were beside themselves to have a burger with some weight to it. And I LOVED that their fries tasted like actual potato and were not rolled in salt! The runner was so nice, although it looked like she was serving all vehicles on her own. She didn’t rush us, and really made us feel welcomed. My kids just threw out their wrappers and are already asking when we can go back. If you’re in town, go to Wayne’s!!

First time eating here after passing by it for 2 years. Boy have I been missing out! Similar to the “Cook Out” burger joints on the East Coast. Very tasty, and the double cheeseburger was hefty too. More than enough food for the average person. I tried the shakes later in the evening and they also taste really good, I’d choose Wayne’s over Sonic anyday!
