Social Profile:

The North Colley location, lovingly referred to as Cogans Pizza North, has been a huge success. The pizza is equally as tasty and the beer just as cold as Cogans Pizza Ghent, but with a few more taps – 44 to be exact – and a two-tap beer engine that pours real Cask Ale.

Ok so I will say that the pizza tasted a lot better then it looked and knowing they stay open untill 2am i was expecting 7-11 tasted pizza (which is terrible) but however It was better then your favorite chain pizza restaurants. Friendly staff clean place with fast service, Cogans pizza “looks” and “is” inviting and I will come back.

Good pizza loaded with toppings. I ordered their version of meat lovers plus jalapeños and pineapple. Additional toppings were $3+ each. Garlic knots were okay. Pepsi products. Dessert is available. Friendly and attentive staff. Many beers on tap. They do a pizza of the month. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Infrequent Local Guide
This is one of our favorite local spots. Come as you are, no dress-up required. Beer selection is great, food is always good (suggest the chicken philly), and the staff is always nice. Kitchen open late.

This place was great, and prices weren’t too crazy, though they are higher than a chain pizza place and the pizzas seem a bit smaller. There are pool tables and lots of TVs inside, large selection of beers on tap. I had the barbecue chicken pizza and it was great. I’d like to try the cauliflower crust pizza sometime.
There is a symbol on the menu that shows you which items can be made vegan

I’ve been a regular at this establishment for quite some time due to attending college in the area, and I have to say, my experiences have been nothing short of exceptional! Every time I eat here, I am greeted with a warm, genuine smile that instantly brightens my day. The professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch service is truly remarkable. Deija specifically goes out of her way to make me feel valued and appreciated, whether it’s remembering my usual order (even though she’s only been there for a fraction of my tenure) or taking the time to ensure everything is perfect.
Her positivity is infectious, and her work ethic is unmatched. I’ve seen her handle busy rushes with grace and efficiency, all while maintaining a kind and approachable demeanor. She’s incredibly attentive, always checking in to make sure I’m happy with my order, and her passion for creating a welcoming environment shines through in every interaction. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the customers. I love this place, truly.

My husband, daughter and I ate here on a slow Sunday night. We were excited to be able to watch the Sunday Night Football game. Midway through the game they turned the volume OFF and then were not happy when we asked for it to be turned back on. We ordered a Cauliflower crust pizza due to dietary restrictions and when our pizza was brought out it was obviously the regular crust. There was no apology, just oh OK, from our waitress and the pizza was removed. We waited close to another 30 minutes for the correct pizza. Our waitress stopped by our table ONCE during this entire time period. Again there were at most 3 other diners in the place and at least 5 different servers that we saw just standing around. The pizza itself was decent, but we won’t be returning.

Good portion sizes and fun atmosphere with outdoor options too. Poutine was
SO good so I’d eat that again and Again!!! Came out piping hot and stayed piping hot as I kept eating it. Caprese toasts were good too. The rest of the group got craft beers, pizza flatbreads, and salads and all were good. Service was decent also. No military discounts. Parking was slightly tricky since the small parking lot fills up quick, but not too bad finding street parking nearby.

Chill pizza spot with a full bar, happy hour deals, and pool tables ($1.50/game). They do have more than just pizza and a good selection of draft beers.

Vincenté and Sam were absolutely amazing! They made a shooter by scratch and it was even better than if they had the right premade vodka. Vibes were great!!

I discovered Cogan’s in 2011 and return any time I visit Norfolk. The pizza is that great. Weather pending, the 2nd floor outdoor seating is the best. Count the pennies on the bar’s wall! In a military concentrated city, most HRTs offer a military discount to bring more commerce and to thank service members. Regardless, enjoy the best pizza in Norfolk!
