Patina Porch is Sandusky’s newest destination bar and restaurant located on the West End. We are constructed almost entirely with materials salvaged by Sandusky Salvage & Design. We have a wide beer selection, a full bar, and we also specialize in hand-crafted mocktails. We have a light menu that will change seasonally. We use fresh herbs in many of our food and drink items which we get from our own gardens. We have a spacious patio that overlooks the marshes of Mills Creek. We work together with Patina Creek to offer our guests a one of a kind experience. You can drink, eat, socialize, buy plants, antiques, art, and architectural salvage all at the same place.

We stumbled upon Patina Porch and instantly fell in love with the vibe. The exterior has this incredibly cool, industrial-rustic look with galvanized metal, weathered wood, and greenery everywhere. It feels like a hidden oasis where you can just relax and forget about the busy world outside.
The Food:
We ordered a spread of items to enjoy on the patio, and everything hit the spot:
• Pork Butt Sliders: I saw the sign for these outside and knew I had to try them. They did not disappoint! Served with crispy waffle fries, the sliders were tender and flavorful—the perfect casual meal to have with a beer. Pork Butt slides is no longer at Patina Porch but they have expanded their menu recently
• Caprese Flatbread: This was fresh and light. The crust was nice and crispy, topped with melted mozzarella, fresh basil, and sweet cherry tomatoes. It’s a great shareable appetizer (or a meal if you don’t want to share!).
• Pretzel Bites: You can’t go wrong with these. They were golden brown, perfectly salted, and came with a generous cup of warm beer cheese for dipping.
The Atmosphere:
The outdoor seating is fantastic. Sitting at the metal tables surrounded by the unique decor makes for such a chill afternoon. It’s the kind of place where you plan to stay for one drink and end up staying for three.
Verdict:
If you are looking for a laid-back spot in Sandusky with character and great comfort food, Patina Porch is it. Highly recommend grabbing a table outside!
Stop in you won’t be disappointed!!
Bonus- adding my green heron photo from another amazing visit here on a different day
The service was outstanding as Abby was informative, delightful, and joined in on all our fun! They continue to create a one of a kind space and it’s unbelievable for only being open for 4 months! You must go!
