We had business dinner at this wonderful tavern! From the moment you walk in – you are met with a box of apples… roaring fireplace! Open view kitchen and a stocked bar.
Service was quick and courteous…
Food – tuna tar-tar was great! Fresh. Came with avocado and a tasty cracker
I had lobster roll – while it was ok – the fact that every time i bit into it i had to spit out pieces of shell wasnt cool!
Thats where my 4 star comes from..
Overall – solid 5 and i would return!

I had a wonderful experience setting up a Ralph Lauren–inspired baby shower at Tabor Road Tavern last week. As an outside event stylist, I truly appreciated how accommodating and professional the team was throughout the entire process.
The space itself is warm, elegant, and versatile—perfect for intimate celebrations and styled events. The staff was attentive, organized, and easy to work with, which made setup smooth and stress-free. Everything came together beautifully, and the venue provided the perfect backdrop for this special celebration.

Ambiance is great. Large lofted main dining room with a beautiful fireplace is far cozier then you would expect. Service is over the top, for example, they bring a fresh chilled martini glass to swap for your 1/2 empty drink (my wife’s)!
Food is well portioned and very well prepared.
Reservation strongly suggested.

I sat at the bar and ordered a Don Julio Margarita. For food I got the wagyu dumplings with ponzu sauce and the pretzels with grain mustard and beer cheese. The dumplings were tasty and tender and the pretzels were perfect. The sauces were all very flavorful. For my second drink I ordered a delicious Aperol Spritz.
Kyle was an excellent bartender. Extremely attentive, friendly and personable. The atmosphere is inviting with wood floors and a large dining room area. 10/10 would recommend Tabor Road Tavern.

Tabor Road Tavern is a great spot in terms of atmosphere. The decor is well done, the space feels inviting, and the overall vibe makes it a place you want to sit and stay for a while. The staff was friendly, attentive, and on point throughout the visit.
The food itself was good and well-prepared, with solid flavor across the board.
That said, the portion sizes compared to the cost were disappointing. For the price point, the servings were noticeably small, which took away from the overall experience. You leave feeling like you had a nice meal, but not quite enough of one.
Parking is also very limited and can be frustrating, especially during busy times, which adds to the overall inconvenience.
Overall, a great atmosphere and strong service, but the value and parking situation could be improved.

My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch this afternoon. We had never been in before but drove by and wanted to give it a try.
Immediately the atmosphere was lovely. The dark wood, fireplace, beautiful bar, it started the afternoon beautifully on this winter day. We were seated immediately even without calling ahead (I recommend). Then we received incredible service from not only our waiter, but also by the gentleman who ran our food as well.
We got a light lunch of their soft pillowy pretzels, a light zingy Caesar salad, and the most tender and delicious calamari rings I’ve ever had.
While we initially thought it was a bit pricy when looking at the menu. (no different in price than majority of other non chain restaurants). However, the things mentioned above made us walk out feeling as though it was worth every penny and then some. The quality of the food alone puts it a step above.
Thank you for a lovely afternoon with my husband. Thank you to a gracious staff. And thank you for quality-delicious food.
Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

I have reviewed and loved the sister restaurant next door: Grato. Now it is time to come back to Tabor Road Tavern. This is a beautiful restaurant with a warm inviting interior design. The staff are helpful and courteous. The food is the standout, however. My tuna tartar was fresh and clean tasting punctuated with wasabi cream sauce. Perfect appy. My main was the short rib, very tasty. Desserts were outstanding.

WOW! When we pulled up to the front door, we just knew this was gonna be good! We thought it was just a tavern but boy were we pleasantly pleased when seated. Our server was absolutely excellent! She suggested a few menu items and specialty seasonal adult beverages. Our food was very delicious, I think my eyes rolled back at my 1st bite of steak! All else was just as wonderful. We were visiting from Las Vegas & will definitely tell family & friends that New Jersery just might be the best!!
