There is no greater ice cream than C&B and you simply cannot convince me otherwise. I am addicted to sweets and always seek out the local spots when I travel. How lucky am I that the best ice cream happens to be in my own city! From the local bourbon inspired flavors, to the standard favorites AND creative monthly specials, there is something for every sweet tooth. The staff are always so kind, helpful and happy to serve. The owner, Toa, is one of the kindest, most compassionate and bright humans. The way she supports and gives back to our community is beautiful and inspiring. You get the whole deal with C&B!

Crank and Boom Craft is the best place to get ice cream in Lexington or even the best desert in general! My favorite things about crank & boom are that it is in the distillery district area and it is so nice to come after a lunch or dinner from one of the surrounding restaurants. The staff are always super sweet and always recommend flavors to me when I ask them. The recommendations have never disappointed and I always have a wonderful customer service experience. If you’re looking to go and check it out my personal favorite flavor is strawberry balsamic! I love sitting outside on a nice warm day with my friends or family and enjoying my favorite ice cream from crank & boom. Even on a stormy or frigid day they have plenty of seating inside and even a photo booth in their upstairs lounge! Crank and boom is my go-to on any day and I highly recommend checking it out.

Seriously some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. I got a flight, and not a single flavor disappointed. I love the unique options, like strawberry balsamic sorbet. Sooo good. I will definitely be visiting each and every time I come to Lexington. I may or may not have come here twice during my trip 😉

Good variety of ice cream options here
Not so many parking spots available since all the businesses share the main lot, but whatever because it’s free 🙂
I got a dirt cup and my girlfriend got a cookie dough scoop.
The upstairs area was closed and I didn’t get to explore it.
Good place for ice cream, they just get a little busy sometimes.

The Bourbon & Honey ice cream at Crank & Boom is so good it honestly surprised me. You get that smooth, creamy texture with just the right kick of bourbon and a touch of sweetness from the honey. It’s the kind of flavor you can’t stop thinking about after the first bite.

I had a Sunday and it was DELICIOUS! HOWEVER, I also purchased a pint of dairy free ice cream, and it had gone bad. Their freezers were not working and they relocated the pints, so my guess is that during that transition some went bad and I got one. I called to tell them what happened and their reaction was less than helpful! Very disappointing!

We’ve been here a quite a few times. It’s always super busy on the weekends.

The ice cream is great and they have some unique flavors that are definitely worth a try. My favorite is the S’mores sundae.

They have an incredible dark chocolate flavor but it’s usually sold out behind the counter so if they have it then your in luck.

They do usually have pre-made pints in the fridge, so if there’s any flavors you really wanted but they run out, check there!

This place has delicious ice cream and such unique flavours! I love that they’re an openly all-inclusive space. They also offer boozy options for adults looking for that extra kick!

My fiancé and I have come here multiple times, and their ice-cream is consistently rich and creamy. The staff are helpful and friendly at the counter! I got the Strawberry ice-cream and the Key Lime flavours together in a waffle bowl, and the flavours were SO STRONG AND SCRUMPTIOUS!

My fiancé got a boozy “ice-cream cocktail”, consisting of salted caramel ice-cream, chocolate drizzle and Kentucky bourbon. He loved his as well!

I highly recommend this place for your ice-cream cravings, especially after having some Goodfellas pizza. It’s a perfect conclusion to a meal!
