For the same money, I can get a more generous portion at Chipotle just down the street, with free refills included. Given the combination of high prices, small portions, and lackluster service, I’ll be eating at corporate America owned Chipotle next time. The value proposition here simply doesn’t add up, especially when there are better options so readily available nearby.
The atmosphere of the establishment does indeed exude its namesake. There’s a Salsa station on the side for your chips that’s usually accompanied by your order or dish, but for the price, I was hoping the salsa station also has a chips station you can just grab chips alike to similar other establishments. The order looked and tasted good but I’d say doesn’t really match the price, but it’s to be expected as I’m sure it’s expensive to upkeep any business stationed in a downtown setting. Overall neat place but I’ll probably lean to trying the other establishments nearby.
The salsa bar is absolutely wonderful, some of the best tomatillo salsa I’ve had. The pumpkin salsa was unexpectedly bomb. The ceviche is WONDERFUL and not ruined with mayonnaise.
Service was great and fast. Filling and flavorful, will absolutely come back when we’re in the area. Forget Chipotle, go get yourself some REAL Mexican food. Your taste buds will thank you.
The quesadilla was pretty standard but the fish taco was one of the best I’ve had and paired well with their mango salsa. It was super fresh and would definitely order again.
The food was 5 stars but I had to bump it by 1 star due to the price. I completely understand their mission and LOVE what they do but as a student this was a splurge for me.
The salsa is also great.
Good value considering the inflation.
The only minus is that the service is about rushed. I wanted a burrito in a bowl as a messy eater but it was simply interpreted as no tortilla (I wanted to try the house made tortilla tho:3)
