The entrees were good, but the appetizer and salad were lacking.
We got there when they opened the doors.
My friend ordered fried pickles that came soggy and greasy. I complained to the waitress when she took the plate of barely half eaten pickles. I expected a few dollars to be taken off the bill, not a comp because about 1/3 were eaten. It just got to the point my friend couldn’t choke anymore down.
Nothing came off the bill, they cost around $10, not a penny was refunded. I thought $2-$3 would have been fair.
My “chopped salad” was NOT chopped and had big chunks of red onion and barely any blue cheese chunks. The bacon was so over cooked, that I left most in the bottom of the bowl.
The ribs, fries and burger were excellent.

Anissa was an amazing server! From the moment she came to our table with her bright smile and tons of knowledge about the restaurant we knew we were in good hands. I brought my son for his birthday lunch and we will definitely be back with the whole family. Food, service, atmosphere 10/10. Thank you!

The food was perfect and on point! Tender, juicy and flavorful to the bone. If you love lamb chops you must try them.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. We didn’t get our waitress’s name, but she was great. The food came out fast and was delicious.

The meat quality was great and was absolutely delicious, especially with the butter and sauce. The sides all came out, unfortunately luke warm/ cool. Id give it a second shot, and the experience was fun for our son. I would give it another shot. It may jusy hard been a lacking server.

We had such a fun experience at Black Rock Bar & Grill! The concept of cooking your steak at first took as back a bit. I thought I don’t want to cook my own steak, but I thought I would give it a try. The stew I came out on a sizzling hot stone right at the table and it makes the meal both interactive and delicious. The meat was incredibly fresh and you cook each bite to your own cooked liking. My husband said it was the best steak at a restaurant ever because each bite was hit and cooked to perfection. You cook the steak in a lava stone.
Beyond the steaks, the sides and appetizers were flavorful and well prepared. The cheesy lava dip was a standout. Service was friendly and attentive, making sure we understood the process and had everything we needed. The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

There’s no nice way to say this, we had a lousy experience. First, it was a birthday celebration, so we’d made reservations for 4pm on a Sunday. We arrived on time, but our table wasn’t ready, which was odd since the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. We were sat a short time later in a back room. Our server came and took our drink orders, and quickly returned with our beverages. She asked if we wanted to order any appetizers, but no one was feeling them. She said she’d be right back, but didn’t return to take our food order for nearly 15 minutes. While taking our order, someone asked what their signature steak sauce was, but she couldn’t describe it. Several of us got salads, which were pretty unappetizing, as there was a lot of brown bits in the lettuce. When the entrées arrived, one our the dishes was missing. Our sever said it would be out in 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes with the missing food, or seeing our server, we went to ask for help. By that time most of us had already finished our food. The person missing his food said to cancel it, as he would just get dessert. He ordered the Apple Crisp, and when it arrived, he double checked to make sure it had no nuts since he has a nut allergy. The server checked then came back to say it did have nuts, which was not stated on the menu. A minute late she returned to say she was mistaken, there were no nuts. The steaks were apparently good, but the fries were cold, and the pork chops were dry and hard.

I am so beyond sad that Black Rock is closing. We made a trip from over an hour away just to eat dinner here and it was so worth it. Everything was Incredibly delicious and my boyfriend was in a food-coma afterwards Please stay open, Black Rock. We’ll be back next month before you close

The cook it yourself steak and shrimp was amazing, especially with their house butter. The lobster Dip was just as amazing. I love the garlic flatbread that comes with it. Everybody in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We had never visited here and we were skeptical about cooking for ourselves. Madison, our server was extremely helpful and guided us on how to cook on the hot black rock. All in all a great experience.
