First time at the Flats.
I was a bit leery in eating at Tijuana Flats because I lived in San Diego and right across the border was Tijuana. My wife and I went occasionally for dinner or drinks. The food has always been exceptional, especially if you eat on the street. Now you can understand my cautiousness.
I have to admit that the server who took our order was very polite and took her time to get our orders correct, I thought we took long but she was very patient.
We ordered a few different items chicken, shrimp, taco salad, all tasted very well and the salad was fresh and crispy.
The chips were fresh. I believe that the oil was right at the tip of changing so the chips wasn’t bad, but it just started tasting a little bit oil compromised.
We also ordered some churros with the chocolate sauce. This was my big disappointment the chocolate sauce I don’t think had chocolate. I think it was just some chocolate flavored sauce. In other words it was not good.
Overall, the food was good and I will definitely go back

My daughter accidentally spilled her water all over the table and floor. My husband went to tell one of the workers and they came and put a wet floor sign on top and said “we will clean it up after you leave.” They left the water all over the table and floor. The water started spreading out all over the floor in the walkway etc. my husband went and asked if someone could come help wipe some and they came and wiped the water from the table onto the floor and said “we will just add it to that.” I ended up having to go to the bathroom to get a bunch of paper towels and then their napkin dispenser in front of the register to get a bunch of napkins to clean it up ourselves. At this point one of the customers leaving said “wow do you get paid extra for that?”, in regards to us sopping up the water off the floor. Then she looked up at the workers and rolled her eyes and shook her head. I really don’t understand why they couldn’t bring out a dry mop to soak it up or even give us the mop to do. We couldn’t even move to a new table because the dining area was full.

Love the atmosphere and the art. The music was amazing. I was not too impressed with the shrimp burrito I ordered but it could just be the combination I ordered. Had to ask for refills and got served the wrong beer so service had a bit to be desired but the atmosphere made the experience so worth it, I will be coming back

Working while in town and decided to stop by. I’m familiar with the establishment so I knew what to expect. They had a couple new items on the menu so I would give them a shot. They have three new salsa’s their regular, a medium chipotle and a hot habanero. I decided on trying the habanero after I asked if it was HOT and the girl didn’t know. Me usually these “HOT” at these establishments are not that hot and I was correct. It did have a kick most would think is too hot. It was also a little runny and not a salsa. I would have been better off grabbing the medium chipotle for the texture and grabbing something to add some heat. Lesson learned. My wife grabbed some queso. We also got three beef hard shell tacos each and a bag of chips and salsa. They were the real highlight. Looked good and definitely good portions of beef and toppings each. I’d recommend this but I’d avoid the “hot” runny habanero and do as I suggested. Party on.

Try this new place in Suntree. Staff greeted you as you walk in. On this day the place was not very busy. Placed order at the counter. There soda are craft so they do not carry Coke or Pepsi. The craft soda was very good. I got the chicken sandwich which was very good. I got the steam veggies which where very good. The shrimp tacos where delicious. If you are in Suntree stop in you will be very pleased

I had their street corn tacos with steak, hubby had a beef burrito l. Both is very much enjoyed it. Very flavorful! Hot sauce bar is pretty awesome. You do need to ask for regular salsa (an uncharged, a little odd) BUT it is also, very good with a little spice.
A great place for people who like spicy heat, for sure. We will be back to try more.

While living in Melbourne for the past year, I would always order to go from this location at least once every other week. My food was always ready ahead of time and fresh. The staff is friendly and always greeted me as I walked in. The specials are hard to beat.
