We had an awful experience with the manager Jeff. Our waitress was doing everything she could to assist. We watched this manager badger and belittle and harass, not only our waitress but another woman in our party. We watched this manager corner our very young waitress until she was in tears due to a simple mix up to no fault of hers. Even after she attempted to calm herself before she returned to our table he consistently cornered her and continued to verbally harass her. You could tell baby girl needs her job and this Jeff guy shouldn’t be anyone’s manager. He was extremely rude to one of our guest and even threatened to kick her out due to a mixup with menu items, told her if she stayed she wouldn’t be served, sent some little bald muscle guy over to our table to also threaten one of our guest. We ultimately had to let him know if she left we would all leave without payment and appetizers on the table. we had a party of 8 spending at minimum 50 per person and gratuity. Luckily our chef and waitress were great but this manager really distracted from what was supposed to be an amazing birthday experience for our friend. They will never see another dollar of my money as long as he’s there. My first and last visit. Thanks for creating a very hostile atmosphere for our party and the staff. The food was great it was truly sad the MANAGER made the experience AWFUL

My wife and I went to Osaka Tallahassee for lunch. I didn’t know what to expect as I have not been to the restaurant before. The place wasn’t very busy and I wondered why because it certainly is nice enough that the place should be full at lunch time. The waiter gave us our drinks and then there was a long wait before he returned to get our orders. Our waiter wasn’t very patient with me as I struggled to answer his questions about how I wanted my food, at one point he even looked at his watch. I thought that to be rude. The host sat in a room that wasn’t being used at that time and played on his phone rather than check on the customers. When I went to the restroom I found it definitely very clean, but as I returned to my table I passed our waiter who passed in the opposite direction and he never acknowledged me with a smile or a simple hello. I had the lunch box which was ok at best. The restaurant is pretty but not warm and welcoming. I found the prices to be fair. The staff all seem to be doing their own thing instead of tending to the business of hospitality.

We (me, my Wife, and our young baby) came on my birthday and really enjoyed it. We came in early aroumd 5:30 because we didnt want there to be too much noise for our baby, and I’m glad we did because it was super busy by the time we left. Food was great, our chef was fun and engaging. We had soup and a roll (can’t remember which one) and shared the steak (filet) & shrimp for 2. So delicious!! Great choice for an early birthday dinner!

I went for an early lunch and wanted to see the show. I was told by the host that it is not offered at that time. That sucked because we planned on ordering from the dinner menu.
I chose this restaurant based on its high ratings and was prepared for higher prices. However, I was disappointed with the quality of the food. Despite the menu’s costliness, the dining experience fell far below expectations. To make matters worst, there was only one waiter for the whole restaurant. There was about eight tables to serve.
Now let’s talk about the food. The food appears better than it taste. The soup lacked flavor and seemed watered down, while the salad did not appear fresh. My order of chicken and salmon, priced at $36, was overwhelmed with an excessive amount of teriyaki sauce, which detracted from the dish’s taste. Even the vegetables seemed overcooked in was drowning in the same sauce. Overall, I feel dissatisfied with the $150 spent and would advise others to consider alternative dining options.

I ate there with my husband and several other family members a couple months ago. I have eaten here before and had a wonderful experience until the last visit. I won’t go back. The cook/waiter acted like he was high and his jokes weren’t funny. They were sexual in nature about me. I’m a married woman and I felt disrespected and I felt like he disrespected my husband. He better be glad my children weren’t there. We paid a lot of money to eat there but I won’t be back. It wasn’t a comedy club! He was foul!

Decided to stop here for lunch it the place was very upscale which I like, the chef for the hibachi was very funny and had great energy. My rating is based on the plenty other hibachi style places I have went to, the 1 negative is that you can’t spend extra money ordering lunch special sushi rolls while at the hibachi table and the bar was closed. This has never happened to me before. The food was moderately seasoned and they were generous with the white sauce.

We always have an enjoyable experience here. Tonight, Don was our chef! He is hilarious! He interacts well and has such great conversational banter and comedic roasting techniques. We ask for him every time we go. Great flavor in the food as well! Everything stays always tastes so yummy!

Tried Osaka in Tallahassee for the first time recently. Overall it was nice. The seating area was very limited but going around 2 PM it wasn’t overly crowded. Service was somewhat slow but still good. Server could’ve checked on table a little more frequently but we still got everything we asked for and server was friendly. The ginger salad was very good and the shrimp & beef hibachi meals were good, but much too salty for my taste. Also they could give half the rice and twice the vegetables in my opinion. Not sure I will return a second time but it was nice to try and still decent food, service & atmosphere in general.
