Restaurant has such a nice view of the Mississippi River. The albacore tuna sashimi is a must.
Food in general was good and presentation was great. I wouldn’t recommend the fried rolls as they are all covered in panko and I feel like they would be much better if they were all tempura rolls.
Ube cheesecake was great but a bit overpriced. The jelly that comes with it could be less sweet as it overwhelms the flavor of the cheesecake.
The guys in the kitchen were having fun and throwing things on the floor – I thought it was hilarious but they quickly got a sermon from the chef. Seriously, no big deal with having fun specially during the slow hour when there’s hardly anyone there. The guy who did the noise apologized but I told him it was ok – they could actually make it part of the attraction and clown around a bit, I’m sure a little humor won’t kill anyone.
Thanks a lot to everyone at the restaurant for a great experience.

My daughter is a new sushi lover so I took her on a Tuesday around 3pm. We were seated at a small table for 2 with a beautiful river view. We started with the Shishito and Shrimp. This was pretty good but I needed a better dipping sauce. It was happy hour so certain rolls were discounted. I was disappointed to learn that they didn’t have or were out of the fried rice. We decided to go with the Big Easy rolls and the Shrimp Tempura rolls. They took a little while to come but we enjoyed the view while waiting. My daughter was disappointed that the Big Easy were only 4 rolls. Nevertheless, they were good. I also enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura rolls. Our server was friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will probably return in the night time for the wonderful views. There is also rooftop outdoor seating. I’d definitely come back for that in cooler weather.

First time dining at the Tsunami Sushi on top of the Shaw Center. The stir fried rice with chicken was delicious and tasty. I like eating and looking out over the Miss. River and Baton Rouge buildings. It was a very different atmosphere to enjoy. I will definitely try again in the spring so I can eat outside on patio over looking Baton Rouge. The prices ok

Okay food, great view and terrible service. The waitress took an extremely long time to first come to our table and everything after that took far longer than at other establishments. It also didn’t help that a table nearby was sat part-way through that had a whining dog and children that loudly discussed spit for several minutes. I understand that the restaurant cannot control guests but they could have sat them away further away from the guests who were trying to quietly enjoy themselves. Overall it was just an unpleasant experience.

We came here just by chance as our hotel was nearby. Well, the food and service was so good that we ended up coming back. And then back again for a third time! Seriously, the sushi is delicious, all the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the cocktails were second to none – we would recommend the haiku! If you’re in Baton Rouge, make sure you swing by here! The views over the river are stunning too.

Me and my fiancé came here for the first time and absolutely loved it. HK was an excellent server and the food was fantastic. My favorite was the Sea Bass Roll. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is indecisive. Great view also!

Restaurant is on the top floor of the Shaw Center for Arts. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River and environs and great place to see the sunset. It also means, however, that 1) the restaurant is hard to find if you don’t know it’s there (didn’t see any signs on the ground floor and had to ask the security guard), 2) too much sun and heat to sit outside by the railing to enjoy the view, at least when we were there in July.
Staff was accommodating and attentive. We didn’t have a reservation and one of their servers agreed to take care of us for dinner at the bar. We were kind of in a back corner but they sat us. Recommend reservations if you want to go there.
Food was OK. Interesting combos and flavors. Good portion size. Vegan options. They were out of a couple items we wanted to order.
