Overall, we had a decent visit here. We both grabbed beer flights, and our favourite brews were Batch 69, the Hot Rocket Jalapeño Blonde, and the Christmas Beer which came with a cinnamon-sugar rim that was such a nice festive touch. Really enjoyed that.

For an appetizer, we ordered the Truffle Parmesan Tots, and those were awesome; crispy, flavourful, and a great start to the meal.

For my main, I went with the Brewery Burger. It was okay, not bad, not great. The bacon was crispy, and I liked that they served a fresh leaf of lettuce on the side instead of letting it steam on the burger. I just wish the patty itself was juicier, and a lot of the flavour ended up coming from the oil of the onion rings. Very average overall.

My wife ordered the vegetarian Southwest Bowl and really enjoyed it; super fresh, and the cilantro amount was perfect. The one big downside: she found a piece of pulled pork in her supposedly vegetarian meal and had to pull it out of her mouth. Definitely something they need to be more careful with, especially when it comes to dietary restrictions.

Worth checking out for the beer, but the food was a mixed bag for us.

Stopped in to check out Frankenmuth Brewing after seeing that they were on the TagaBrew trail. I tried a flight that included their Christmas Ale, Pumpkin Ale, Pilsner, and Amber. All were delicious, but I especially liked the Pumpkin Ale and Amber. They are also (at least as of November 2025), running a special where you get a get a free souvenir glass with the purchase of a 20oz Christmas Town Ale, nice!!

Nice restaurant/taproom with plenty of room. The patio looks nice and we enjoyed the view out the back of the restaurant. Clean restrooms. After spending the afternoon at Bronner’s we appreciated the restaurant not being completely “in your face” with Christmas. That’s to say that Christmas was present but not overwhelming.

Service was fantastic. Our waitress (and my apologies for forgetting her name) was happy to answer questions and we enjoyed talking with her. She was present and helpful but didn’t “hover”. She also offered great suggestions for our flights.

We didn’t try the food (sorry, we were planning on Zehender’s) but we will absolutely add this brewery as a stop during our annual visits to Frankenmuth.

While planning my trip to Frankenmuth, I was delighted to see that they have a craft brewery in town. Even more interesting is that they are the modern reincarnation of the original brewer in town (the local history museum covers the history of the town’s brewers if you have a moment to spare).
The only nitpick I have with the atmosphere is that the exterior facade is more reminiscent of a modern craft brewery rather than the surrounding Bavarian styled architecture that is present along the main strip. The inside has a nice taproom/brewpub vibe with their brewing tanks in clear sight of the bar. The bar area is also well appointed.
They have the usual barrow fare with a German twist. However, having already ate a Zehnder’s before hand, I just wanted a snack with my beer so I had their fries. The fries were nice and fresh, not greasy and very crisp and not too bad for the price. The service was also very good as the bartender answered my questions and generally kept on top of the patrons at the bar.
Frankenmuth Brewery also has some pretty good brews, with a couple of them being award-winning. I just had a flight of beers including their Little Bavaria pilsner (their flagship), Lighten Up, Francis! kolsch (my favorite of the flight), the Harvest Ale and Munich-style Dunkel (my second favorite). Sadly they didn’t have Old Detroit Amber Ale on tap that day…but they had cans to-go for sale in their shop. They also have their own wines on the menu as well; not being a wine person, I didn’t try any.
As mentioned they have a shop up front with cans of beer to go, glasses and apparel with their mascot Dauschund, Frankie on it. Nice selection of glassware including dimpled mugs and reasonable prices (though do be prepared for the Michigan deposit for those out of state visiting).
Overall this was an enjoyable brewpub and if I came back, I’d definitely come for another visit.

We had the best time! Our food was amazing and the staff were great. We got the pretzel, salad, pizza and Reuben and everything was so good. We will be back again.

Stopped at Frankenmuth Brewery for a very enjoyable lunch. Drew provided outstanding service. The Christmas Town Ale was delicious, especially with the spiced rim. The Brewery Burger is the best I’ve had in a long time, with the tasty jam on top, along with perfectly cooked bacon and crispy onions. All at a reasonable price. This makes Christmas time a special time for eating out.

Not impressed, my mom got the pulled pork sandwich and she said it was dry. I got the chicken tenders and frys the frys were okay but the chicken tenders were dry wish they would of hand battered them and made them more juicy. They were kind of like an overcooked Wendy’s nugget, my aunt got the lasagna and wasn’t really a fan. It wasn’t a very big portion and it didn’t come with garlic bread or a breadstick. Also the restraunt was really cold inside.

This is a must do when we are in Frankenmuth. With both craft beer and wine this is a perfect combination for my husband and I. We enjoy the food and the pretzel is probably one of my favorites. They have a great store in front to get merchandise to go along with their beer. It is clean and has some great views. Our only challenge is with the parking. With limited space in the parking lot, if you don’t get there early, you will most likely be parking across the street. It is a short distance but not always convenient.

A great place to grab a pint and food while in Frakenmuth.

Skip the German and chicken places. Especially if you’ve done it already. This is where you want to be.

Fantastic beer selection, full bar for those that don’t prefer beer, and everything was good.

The service was excellent, our waitress was friendly, fast, and helpful with the menu. We could tell the other staff were also fun and provided great service.

The food was great. We had cheese bread for the table and they did NOT skimp on the cheese. I had the beef dip, we had bratwurst, and all of it was excellent.

Frakenmuth brewery gets full marks from me. I left fat and happy.

Highly recommended.

The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues.
A 93° Thursday afternoon in late July calls, no, screams, for a brewery stop. Since I’m heading “up north,” Frankenmuth was a great spot for lunch & beer.
And they are busy today. The ambient noise from all the conversations is a bit higher than I expected but not “wish I had ear plugs” loud.
Sat at the bar. Sam is hustling. Food and drink orders are handled efficiently and professionally. And he checks in despite the load. Kudos.
The food was tasty and arrived quickly.
The beers are decent, though nothing stood out.

The view from the patio is so relaxing. Frankie’s Brat with Fries was a great choice. And the view was great. Our server, Andrea, was great and treated us like we were old friends. Great time and good beer.
