You order from computer. A person taking your order would have been more personable but its fine. There was a lady who greated me and offered to help as soon as I walked in the door. The food was so good. Well seasoned and super tender. I would be back but the prices are high for what you get and then to order from a computer. I dont see what justifies the high price. Plasticware and to go containers. I can get a higher end meal at a sit down restaurant for what I paid. If prices where lower its definitely all 5 stars.

I served in the Army for nearly 10 years and was lucky enough to travel to Hawaii, where I first tried Hawaiian BBQ and loved it. When I found out there was a location here in Des Moines, I had to stop in while in town for the INPS Nurse Practitioner Conference.
The food was great—juicy, savory, and full of flavor. I ordered the Huli Huli Chicken (their main entrée, I think) and it did not disappoint. Their packaged sriracha sauce added the perfect heat. I do wish I had ordered veggies instead of double rice, but that’s on me! The twist soft serve was fantastic, and although I’m usually a huge fan of Spam and rice, I surprisingly didn’t love the spam musubi this time.
What really stood out was the service. My food was ready before I even sat down, every staff member I interacted with was friendly and smiling, and the restaurant was spotless. When I overheard they had a Veterans Day special after I’d already paid, the manager (David) went above and beyond and issued me a refund—very kind gesture. My only complaint was the ice machine running out, but the manager handled that right away.
All around, great food, excellent service, and an awesome team. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town and highly recommend this spot!

Absolutely delicious! Such a breath of fresh air! We were greeted by a delightful young man named Tommy! He was so helpful, kind and great with explaining the menu. The atmosphere was so tranquil and inviting! Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed!

Staff is super sweet and food was amazing! My 5yr old brother is extremely picky but devoured his food. Atmosphere was super welcoming and clean. There is the option of ordering on a touch screen or ordering at the register and food comes out quick. There are high chairs if you need and a great variety of seating! My boyfriend has been here almost every day the past week for dinner definitely recommend!!

I cannot say enough great things about this place. the owner (I’m pretty sure) is the kindest man I have came in contact with in a long time. He gave my son stickers and a drink. Then told us all the popular foods. He got us taste tests of the meat so we could pick our favorite flavor. Our food came out in 5 minutes or less. He then offered us Dole soft serve twist on the house. The customer service was through the roof. The food was amazing. Please come try!!

As soon as I walked in a young man came to ask if I had been there and when I said no went through the menu and process. Very nice.
I ordered at a kiosk – combo with Luau pork and Hulu chicken. Automatically comes with rice and pasta salad. You can switch those out if you want. Next time I will try seasoned vegetables since a little rice is under the meat.
Anyway- out in less than 5 minutes. Piping hot and divine. I can’t say which I loved more. Both chicken and pork were juicy, fresh, flavorful. Pasta salad very good, too. Rice is rice, but I will say theirs was fluffy and fresh.
I added a small tip and my total was $18. Clean and bright atmosphere with Hawaiian music playing. Big clean restrooms. They had a steady line going through the drive through and order ahead windows and didn’t seem to miss a beat.
In or outdoor seating available.
Gotta go try some other things! Maybe something with a little spice next time.

It’s basically a self-serve place: you order at a kiosk, drinks and tableware are at a station, and you bus your own table. I laughed when the kiosk asked if we wanted to tip. For what? Also, the print on the menus posted by the kiosks is very small. We mentioned it, and the response was “Yeah, other people have said that.” So, maybe fix that? We got a wrap, which was a generous size. The flavor of the chicken was good. The wrap itself was dry and fell apart easily, leaving my partner with the insides falling out onto his shirt. The Dole whip was good, but it would be nice if they offered a small size. It was clean and comfortable. I get they’re going for a Hawaiian vibe, but a little variation in the music would be nice. I’m sure there’s more than one kind of South Pacific music.

The food was good, service was fast and friendly and reasonably priced.
We had the Molokai chicken meal and the Honolulu chicken meal. Both were flavorful and delicious. My daughter is a picky eater but she loved the Molokai chicken. They have bottled or fountain drinks and the dole whipped ice cream was really good. I would definitely eat here again if I was in town.

I’m so excited to have a new option in town! We tried the Honolulu bowls, and there was so much protein; great way to fill up hungry teens! The food was fresh, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was so fun. The colors take me away to a more serene place. Dole whip is always magical.
