I stopped into Outback Steakhouse craving something hearty, and oh man, the Statehouse Burger absolutely delivered—and then some! This beast was stacked high with a juicy, perfectly grilled half-pound patty cooked to juicy perfection, melted cheddar cheese that oozed into every bite, crispy fried onions for that addictive crunch, caramelized onions, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a generous pile of bacon crumbles that added smoky, salty heaven. The bun was toasted just right—soft inside, golden and sturdy enough to hold this monster together without falling apart.
And let’s talk about that loaded baked potato on the side: piping hot, fluffy potato stuffed with melted cheese, green onions, and more crispy bacon bits. It was the perfect companion—creamy, savory, and indulgent. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful; you could tell it was made with care.
The portions are generous, the flavors are bold and spot-on (that combo of crispy, cheesy, smoky, and juicy is unbeatable), and it left me completely satisfied without feeling overly stuffed. If you’re a burger lover or just want a steakhouse-quality twist on the classic, do yourself a favor and order the Statehouse Burger—you won’t regret it. Hands down one of the highlights of my week! While we didn’t have super high expectations about getting a steak from this place, however we didn’t expect it to be quite this bad. We were given a gift card and thought “what the hell, let’s give it a shot!”
I ordered the filet mignon, mashed potatoes and salad. The waitress recommended the blue cheese vinaigrette, and it was actually fantastic. The flavor was excellent. The steak tasted weird, like it was maybe freezer burned or something. It was cooked right, medium rare, but just wasn’t great. My husband ordered the bone in ribeye, and it was cooked medium well, despite asking for it medium rare. By the time we got our food, we’d already been there an hour and were starving, so he choked it down as best he could.
The only drinks we ordered were the Koala Punch… and they were both cute and delightfully refreshing.
The waitress was kind and did a good job, but we were disappointed by the experience overall. To make up for the blunders, they did comp one meal, bought us dessert, and gave us a discount. So despite the dissatisfaction with the meal, they did go above and beyond to make up for it.

What a great place to watch the Broncos Football Game! Go Broncos!! Did you know this place has the best clam chowder! We ordered the Blooming Onion because it is so yummy! My wife had the Alices Spring Chicken and I had the Sirloin Steak and Grilled Shrimp. As always, it was very good. I love their fresh and crispy house salad and broccoli. Definitely recommend this place.

Went to Outback on the evening of 01/17/2026. Tyler was our server. Me and my beautiful woman ordered the 9oz fliet mignon cooked medium to medium well(ish) and I ordered a full rib rack. We both had mashed potatoes (mine loaded) and broccoli with our meals. I suddenly see why Tyler is often mentioned in reviews! Super genuinely good dude who shows up and does a fantastic job! Tyler thank you again! The only odd ball issue (to no fault of our waiter) is we took home 2 cheesecakes without any additional toppings that are offered. They kinda smelled and had a steak taste to them. Aside from that slight disappointing taste I assure you we will be back!

Great dine in experience with a large party and lots of kids. Ordered the sirloin with coconut shrimp and baked potato medium well. Did come out closer to well done and wasn’t the best. For the price I’d expect a bit better but overall service made up for the lacking there. Great patio setup too.

Upon looking at the menu, we were a bit taken aback by the prices of the meals they offer. However, we figured that if the food is to our liking, we wouldn’t mind paying the price. My spouse and I ordered Sirloin steak, medium rare. Both our steaks were tough and more on the well-done side. We were disappointed with our meal, so, we have decided that for the outrageous price they charge, we will not be going back. NOT WORTH THE MONEY! The server and the young man who seated us was very nice.

I went in a couple weeks ago craving a bloomin onion. Let me tell you the service I had outshined the food. (Food was still great). My server Chago went above and beyond in kindness and professionalism. He made the total experience worth coming back. Next time you go in there make sure he is your waiter and you won’t be disappointed.

We Love the Outback Steakhouse in Boise
The food is consistent and the service is excellent. There is something to be said about long term staff members like Tyler, Haley, Courtney, Carisa & Chago. Last but not least Bill Emele, a proprietor who is present, and willing to get his hands dirty or make a table visit to ensure you get great food just right. We love the Kookaburra Wings, Seared Ahi, fresh salads, superb clam chowder and yummy steaks and let’s not forget the chocolate thunder from down under!! Almost every Friday you will find us in the lounge shaking the week off enjoying great food, great friends in an atmosphere where you can relax and have a conversation without shouting. I highly recommend a visit.

We definately had a 5 star experience! AMAZING food, FANTASTIC atmosphere and it did not stop there, SERVICE was top notch, our Server’s name was NAOMI, what a fire ball of positive energy, customer satisfaction was her goal from the moment she greeted us. EXCEPTIONAL, PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE of the menu , it was spectacular! We felt VALUED. A return trip is already being planned . Highly recommended to everyone looking for a special occasion or just a delightful meal experience.

The Outback use to be a good steak house. But in the last few years it has lost it’s soul.
The food is ok, edible, but not great. The price isn’t worth the quality.
I waited 5 minutes just to get someone to acknowledge me upon entering. I ended up calling the restaurant, someone did greet me immediately after the call
The waiter was fast, hovered often and annoying at times.
My GF likes her steak rare, so a good veterinarian could bring it back. I like medium. Hers was done to her satisfaction, mine was nowhere near medium. I think the waiter just heard rare and we both got the same.
It doesn’t have an Australian Outback feel, it really isn’t that good.
Wish Boise had some good, theme based restaurants.
