We got here and Jordan instantly got us seated and right away got us started on drinks, he explained the menu as if he created it. He literally knew every detail and gave us every option. This guy was awesome, best server I’ve ever encountered. Within moments being seated they served us chips and dip, 1 minute later our drinks. After we ordered we waited maybe 12 minutes and our entire order was there. Jordan was insanely good. He made sure to check with us like every 5 minutes never leaving our drinks empty.

Reason for 3 stars was because my wife’s rice was barely luke warm, there was hardly any avocado in the avocado salad and it was made with chopped salad. No greens. Rice was very bland.

We ordered the Steak fajita lunch and a side of rice and she had 2 margaritas which she said were amazing. The atmosphere wad awesome. We had a really good time here. Next time we visit we’ll try something new. Their service is incredible and also the bathrooms are quite literally spotless. Great place. Over all not including the tip, both lunches, the side of rice and the 2 drinks was 48$. Can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I have been loyal Casa Maria customers for about 5 years now. Ever since we moved to the Northside, it’s been our go-to spot. The food is always incredible, the vibes are good, and we practically consider it part of our weekly routine.

BUT TONIGHT… tonight was absolute chaos.

I’m talking packed to the brim, people everywhere, the kitchen clearly fighting for its life, and our food took a while to come out. Like… long enough for us to consider naming the table and starting a small homestead.

But are we mad?

NO WAY, JOSE.

Honestly, seeing them that busy just made me happy for them. And the real MVP of the night was our server, Jordan.

This man was WORKING. I’m pretty sure he hit his step goal, cardio goal, and possibly a CrossFit workout all during our dinner. The poor guy was sweating, running, hustling, and still somehow managed to be one of the kindest and most professional servers we’ve ever had.

Even though we’ve been here roughly 10,000 times, Jordan still took the time to explain menu items, brought us extra hot sauces to try, checked on us constantly, and kept such a positive attitude the entire time.

Also, random but important detail: he has a great haircut. Respect.

If we had a different server tonight, honestly our review might be very different. But because Jordan handled the chaos like an absolute champ, we didn’t even care that the food took a while.

Casa Maria give this guy his flowers.
Jordan deserves recognition and probably a nap.

We’ll definitely be back (for the food… and to see if Jordan’s haircut still looks that good).

The food was yummy and they weren’t very busy when we got there so the server was very attentive to our table. I got the carnitas burrito, my husband got a steak burrito and my brother-in-law got chicken tacos. It was his birthday so we made sure to try their strawberry cake! It was fabulous! My only real complaint is the cheese tasted a bit different ?

Service was really great, and these fajitas were flavorful. I didn’t like their house margaritas – they use a bad mixer.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant seemed pretty dead. There were no instructions as to if we sat ourselves or needed to wait for seating. We decided to wait for someone to acknowledge us. We were seated after about 2 minutes of waiting. It appeared that they only had 2 servers that afternoon.

Our drink order was taken quickly. However, our food order was not. It took about 20 minutes for our food to come out. I only make a point in saying that because i read the menu and noticed their complimentary chip policy. The first 2 are free the rest are a $2.50. Meaning, the longer your food takes to come the more chips you consume, which could lead to extra charges if you don’t read fine print.

Food: The food was authentic and pretty good. The shrimp for the tacos were big. The Especial Burrito was dreams come true. Its two meaty burritos seated on a bed of rice or beans (i picked rice) topped with lettuce, guac, sour cream, and a slice of tomato. The fajitas quesadilla was good too.

You know that the cuisine is good when you see a table with ten Latino people eating there. Such was the case here. I really enjoyed the taco salad and lite Christmas atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. It’s worth the drive!

Our waitress for lunch today was incredibly nice and checked on us often. The carne asada and queso are hands down the best we’ve had in Jax (that’s saying something as we used to live in San Diego). recommend!

The experience was pretty good. They were quite busy for a Wednesday evening, but the service was still decent. The atmosphere was moderate and not too loud. Overall, the food was good. Not amazing, but good. I didn’t love the bean burrito, which I found to be quite bland and disappointing. I also felt that the side of rice was pretty average and not fresh. Otherwise, the restaurant is fine.

The food is terrific. The wait staff are excellent you don’t have to wait long for your meal. If you’re into desserts they make homemade flan but it’s not like Grandma’s. Come give him a chance you won’t be disappointed.
