Really enjoyed our first visit. Will not be our last. A cold February lunch. Enjoyed the shrimp tacos, some hush puppies and an onion bloom. Hush puppies plus honey and sauce were perfect. Plan on visiting again to enjoy the outside space.

First time going and would highly recommend! Coconut marg was sooo delicious. The staff was so attentive and the manger running the place was so kind and helpful. Creamy garlic dressing on the wedge salad was homemade and was to die for. Same with PB Pie!!

Plus the amazing patio, live music, and sunset. We will be back!

Pelican Bend…I hate to write a great review since I like it being casual and busy but not overcrowded! If you want an outside table, you need to arrive early. Outside or chickee hut is way to fully experience Pelican Bend.

The atmosphere is casual. The restaurant sits in a marina. Boats are coming in going. When charter fishing excursions come in, they feed the scraps to the pelicans. The pelicans then flock right next to the tables and fight over the fish. They are lower in the water so you don’t have to watch them if that bothers you and you definitely won’t get splashed by them. However, it is very cool to watch the pelicans fight over scraps. The dress is very casual. People come off the boats wearing coverups over their swimsuits. Others come in for a nice dinner wearing sundresses and slacks. Inside the restaurant it is also casual but you see people more dressed up.

The food is always good and it is definitely reasonably priced. I think their coconut shrimp is some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m a repeat customer for their coconut shrimp. The white fish is usually very flaky and moist. The grouper is also a crowd favorite. Tonight we experienced the prime rib sliders and they were OK, but not our favorite. The wedge salad is fabulous. It is big and fresh and the creamy garlic dressing is very delightful. I actually prefer the blue cheese dressing, but it’s usually a toss up which one I end up with on the wedge.

Service is always on par. There are usually two or three people looking out for your table to make sure nobody needs anything. Frequently there’s live music. Tonight the musician came by to make sure he wasn’t too loud. We thought he was perfect, but he probably could’ve turned up his volume a little bit.

The sunset is more in the distance, but it’s nice to see the orange sky with the boats in the forefront. It is fun to walk the pier to see the various birds.

Pelican Bend keep doing what you’re doing.

Great casual waterfront vibe. Matt, or server, was fast and friendly! Loved the calamari and the huge burgers. The Channel marker IPA beer drafts were not that big, but they were only $6.50!
Sit outside as it’s more enjoyable than being inside which is a bit dark.

We had a great meal at pelican bend, Deb was super friendly upon arrival. Though the patio was full, we sat comfortably inside and had many delicious dishes. We really enjoyed the gift shop as well. Will definitely check it out again next trip!

Wow! After being treated rudely at a different establishment, we walked to Pelican Bend. We were kindly greeted by two separate hostesses, given our choice of seating areas, we chose outside. The setting was beautiful. Our server was attentive and suggested several options. We chose an amazing toasted coconut margarita and a beer. They arrived promptly, followed shortly thereafter by our meals. Fish chowder, coconut shrimp, sautéed shrimp. Each dish was hot and delicious. We had key lime pie for dessert, which is the best we’ve sampled locally! Wish we had come sooner in our stay to have time for a return visit.

A classic, old style waterfront eatery. Nothing fancy. Indoors or outdoors. Great bar scene available. Just good food, friendly service, good prices, and a fun place to eat along the coast. We loved it to share a wonderful lunch with friends from out of town.
