the food was quite tasty and good, prices on the more expensive side although justifiable by the type of restaurant.
service was the main issue, probably because it was a Sunday and they didn’t expect to be packed and also maybe they were understaffed but we had to wait 1 hr 40 min for the food, don’t see much to any other reviews mentioning this so it was likely a one time unfortunate incident
the atmosphere was likable but nothing special
still would reccomend for a nice dinner

This was a great dining experience. We had previously tried to come here but they weren’t open on that day. This time, we called ahead and my husband and I were the first people there. The female and male staff were super friendly. The female spoke English while the male staff definitely tried and was helpful. We ordered the limpets and the clams. amazing seafood selection! My husband ordered the fish of the day (tuna) and I ordered the sirloin with honey mustard and pineapple sauce. The sauce was a little bit saltier but the meat was fantastic. We also ordered the pineapple flambé and the petite gateau (lava cake) w/ ice cream. We paired it with glass after glass of Azores local white wine. Food was amazing and fresh! By the time we left, it was packed with people! Would recommend 🙂

Local restaurant with very delicious food. We had olives, Island cheese, octopus salad, the fish of the day and steak. The fish was perfect and tasted very fresh. Served with the regional and national white wine. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere in this small restaurant ist very comfortable.

amazing place! Wide options of wines in the menu (and on the walls as well 😉 ) but also multiple options to choose among fish courses. We took octopus with some souse and potatos and tuna steak with sweat potatos – can’t tell which one was better.

We had tuna and swordfish steaks (served with vegetables and sweet potato’s), with olives and bottle of Azores white wine (Atlantis ~20 euros). Total for about 65 euros.
The food was cooked well, the service was great, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.
There is a wide selection of seafood and local wines. Although that’s not a cheap place to grab some food, it was worth every dime in quality. Definitely recommended!

Food is totally fine, the service was top notch, different fresh fish is recommended daily.
A little bit pricey for the amount of food but nothing out of the ordinary.
Probably a good spot for wine lovers as they have a LOT of wine. Didn’t try any though.

Eat here! Exceptional kitchen. Choose the fish of the day and you must! try the cheesecake for dessert!
We payed ~ 65 € for 2 * fish dish of the day, garlic bread, olives, 2 glasses of wine, a water, a pepsi, a coffee and one cheesecake. Very affordable for the quality provided.

Place is widely advertised on Instagram by Portuguese Influencers and Public Figures but that doesn’t mean the place is great. Maybe that was my disappointment. Is just a regular local restaurant.
Staff doesn’t impress by its service. Plates are broken. Food is average with lack of taste. Bathrooms and ceiling need a refresh in design. Window seats have a graveyard view.
I eat the Pig Steak with Fries and veggies.
Give an Extra Star for the Desert: The Petit Gateau is wonderful: felt like it was all cooked and produced in house.
Espresso sucked. Didn’t order full cup. Horrible, had to send it back. Second one they serve was properly done.
It was the first restaurant I went in S.Miguel. I’m sure there are better options.
By the Advertising I was expecting Chef graded food.
Disappointing is the word that resumes the experience.
