Arriving in town after couple of long flights, I was looking for something comforting, tasty and close. As it happens, this pub was literally across the street from my hotel. So I settled at the bar with a local brew described as winters warmer, not sure what that meant, but it was a medium weight ale with nice aromas and even texture. For food, I couldn’t pass up the shrimp and grits, a specialty of the South. The grits were creamy and buttery and the shrimp was done just right. But I think the trick was the chorizo and tomato broth topping this dish and the sunny side egg in the middle. I love this dish and have had it in many southern cities and even make it at home, this was definitely one of the best. The bartender/ server was kind and attentive. Finally, to top it off, the owner manager took music orders from everyone in the bar and so we all enjoyed some great music. Memorable experience, thank you.

My husband and I had dinner here last night; We both got the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. I personally wasn’t a fan of the sandwich, but my husband enjoyed his. The fries were fantastic! We also had the buffalo shrimp appetizer which was great! The music was super loud, with a speaker right there at our table; I had to ask my husband to repeat himself many times because I couldn’t hear him. Our waitress was wonderful! I didn’t catch her name, but the receipt said “Big Red”. The young man who seated us was unpleasant; He spoke with a waitress regarding whose sections were where, then he walked off without saying a word to us. We looked at each other, confused on whether we were supposed to go with him or not when the waitress informed us that we could follow him, but he never spoke to us other than asking “how many” when we walked in. It wasn’t a great way to begin the experience, but our waitress was wonderful!

This spot was really good but man, the staff appeared overwhelmed. We watched as a party of 6 came in to watch college football and the waitress refused to wait on them because she said she had too many tables..I probably watched 5 tables come in and leave..lots of money out the door.
The food was great and our waiter busted his butt..I would recommend this place.

Unexpected Rain, Unforgettable Time at Dub’s Pub
My wife and I ducked into Dub’s Pub in Savannah looking for a quick happy hour stop—and ended up staying for three hours of great drinks, great food, and even better company. We grabbed two seats at the bar near the big window, planning to have a couple beers before continuing our stroll down River Street. But then the rain came—and honestly, we’re glad it did.
Our bartender, Sarah, was fantastic. She kept the drinks flowing with a smile and gave the place a welcoming, laid-back vibe. We ended up chatting with some really fun folks on both sides of us, and what started as a quick stop turned into one of the most enjoyable afternoons of our trip.
And let’s talk about the food—specifically the fried chicken skins. Hands down one of the best appetizers we’ve ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive.
Dub’s Pub is the kind of place that turns a rainy day into a highlight. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Savannah.

The food was amazing. Felicia handled out table of 10 very well, we were never low on drinks. Food was also ready very fast. Fries were the best part!

Minus the buckeeyes losing while we were here, super cool bar downtown Savannah. The hummus and pita was amazing, prolly why it’s marked as a recommendation. Beers were very well priced as well. Bartenders and servers liked to joke around, was a awesome time all around

Now, this place has fried pickle spears done to perfection, not those cooked to nothing pickles. Fresh cut shoe string size fries. The service by Alicia was exceptional. It’s a really nice atmosphere with a lot of TVs. Thanks for the response, up!

Great service! Did was delicious too! Loved the tater tots too! Thought that was only a Wisconsin thing! Chips were great too! Both chicken sandwich were good and the sauce too! Fried pickles were tasty and the ranch sauce was spot on!

Very slow service in here last night, 2/24. The host who seated us seemed nice and ended up being our server, probably bc the waitress didn’t want to be. Odd vibe for sure. They were either short staffed or didn’t like us. Host guy was super nice, but clearly not trained in being a server as he was all over the place. Food never came out. We paid for our drinks and left. Manager lady was PISSED we left and very defensive about the slow service. Not once apologizing for it like any good manager would have.

Our server Tristan was awesome, he knew the menu really well and recommended the pulled pork nachos. Highly recommendable! The fish&chips was great, even after splitting between 2 people the portions were huge. Hope to come back. And the little one enjoyed the chicken tenders and fries.
